Given that Danny was senior in the academy here, I suspect they were both only ever at yours by default. It would have created a massive conflict of interest for him if he was responsible for or even contributing to the decisions whether to move them on through the various academy stages.

I understand it wasnt anything to do with that. More a case of United's academy staff didn't think they were good enough and Wednesday then picked them up fkr their academy age groups. Obviously, they have since come on and done very well a d surpassed some expectations so kudos to both lads. United won't always get it right and some will be missed. These seem to be 2 that we got wrong. It happens.

I can see it being a bit of both (we weren't sold enough on their upside to be willing to deal with the obvious conflict). If they had multiple offers I suspect Dad being at S2 would have made the logistics of them being at S6 convenient!
