Bad decisions whilst supporting united

On Wembley semi-final day, stopped on way back to watch Grand National, only for it to be null and void.

Best, was in 1967 going away to watch the Blades at Blackpool. On coach I draw a rank outsider in the sweepstake, which was exactly the same as the one I'd got at home before setting off. Blades won 1-0 I think, effectively relegating them from Division One. My horse won too - name Foinavon!
1967! Fucking Hell that makes me feel young

Palace play off was a hot day as well

I never got to that match, me and the recently appointed Mrs HB returned from Jamaica the very same day having got married out there. Crashed out on the sofa of the now appointed HB-in-laws (Rovrum fans, but don't judge Mrs HB on this), it wasn't a great experience.

Hasten to add, in case she reads it this some time, it was the decision to fly back on the same day I regret, not marrying Mrs HB (from a family of Rovrum fans), obviously. Of course.

Making the family abandon a big xmas get together in Sunderland so I could get back boxing day morning for the match at swillsboro.

Sugar. 1988 I mean, sorry.Point is , if there is one, united are crap and usually don't bother with entering playoffs. Too risky, might actually achieve something quite by accident, eg a goal in a final for instance.

My main bad decision was to support united in the first place. Now it is a millstone, but not for me the path of my brother, abdicated to follow Man city. His ruse? His lad likes them..he took kid to man city v weds in January!!
Now asking sisters to get lad a man city kit..I could be sick..

Booking 2 days off work to drive to the Yeovil game and back next month isn't looking like such a good decision at this moment..
