I’m surprised to see that the sty upper holds 1000 more than The Lane lower unless that takes into account the number of seats not allowed to be sold by SYP etc.

Think our lower has a capacity of 3k. Believe it hold more than the upper tier (pre the corner being built). Their upper tier is surprisingly big, 4k can get up there..shows how outdated it is that that many can sit there and about 12 people can fit onto the concourse!

We'll sell that out if we have a good run between now and New Year, win 4 of the 6 games and we'll be right in the mix come then, so i'd imagine we'd sell out.

Could you point out which grounds allow cats too please??;):p

Leeds took 7700 to Blackburn
They took 4600 to Wigan
They will get 6000 for Preston (don't know If they've played them already, I can't be bothered to look)

We'll not sell 4000 for Wigan, we would have done at one time, like when we were a shit 4th division club, but not now.
The club will get 2,000 that they'll sell to the highest loyalty points holders, then they'll piss about asking for 200 more, then they'll piss about asking for 200 more, and then we'll suddenly arrive at the day before the game and that will be it.

Don't think Rotherham do. We had the whole of the away end last week, same as last time. A Miller mate of mine tells me that they drastically reduce the pigs allocation and when I've seen them on telly previously, that seems to be right. Last time pigs had a section around half of what we had, with Millers in the other half.

You can take that two ways, I suppose. Either the Millers like our obviously better class of followers more, or the pigs are more of an attraction to the casual fan. Y'know, what with their unique brand of flowing, attacking football like....

Already got full allocation... sorry to piss on your chips !!

We took about 1000 in the old 4th Division at the old ground. We didn't take 4000 in the premier league

The loyalty points system is also in place to help manage work flows through the ticket office. However I am sure you will have something positive to say about tickets for this game as they go on general sale on the 17th December

Takes a special Blade to bum Leeds while slagging off utd 2 days before we play them.

We get so few tickets from the pig through spite and spite alone. It’s a reciprocal allocation even though they have a much bigger capacity.

I’ll be there. I might be in the minority of blades not nursing monster hang overs from the night before??. UTB

1000 for the Division Four match ? What you talking about ?
Wigan's average attendance at the time was around 4000
The attendance that day was 8001

Their next home game after playing us was against Northampton Town - Att 3996

What else is the to do on New Years Day. I’d be surprised if we don’t sell out. I have even persuaded my piggy wife that it is on our way home from seeing the New Year in, in London!

I'd be surprised if we hadn't have taken more to Wigan in the 4th. I didn't go to that one but many that season we were taking a lot away. Plus most teams that season got their biggest gates v us (probably down to us taking loads and the draw of United pulling extra home fans too). Off the top of my head wasn't Wigan the first away game for United in 81-82, first ever away game at that level, on a Saturday too, and our first ever time at Springfield Park i.e. many reasons to pulling in a decent away following.

Seem to remember us fulling the side stand at Wigan's new ground when Jack Lester scored in a 1-1 game around 2003 or 2004.

I was there mate, loads of United fans all over the place.
I was also at Peterborough with an attendance of 13,439 for a night game
Peterborough's attendance averaged around 5500 that season

Peterborough and Bradford were also in the promotion mix that season. They played each other at Peterborough the very game previous to our game at Peterborough...….The attendance was 6,756 which I imagine included a fair old following from Bradford.
The 13,439 was an astonishing attendance for that game, listening to some of our apologies for fans you have to wonder where they came from

York City played most home games in front of less than 2000 that season, but there was 5557 for our visit
Mansfield Town averaged 2685 that season but like some kind of miracle 8944 turned up when United played there

Torquay played most games in front of less than 2000 that season but 5100 were present when United played there.

The Sheffield figures quoted by Balham are incorrect.

Wednesday normally give away fans 4,600 tickets (upper and lower tiers in their away end), that’s what Leeds took to Hillsboro this season. Uniteds bottom tier holds 2,990 but we only allowed to give away teams a touch over 2,200 tickets.

Wednesday charge away fans about £35 a match but this season they’ve still had more away fans at their ground than us.
