What's your stand out away day throughout the years. There's 4 for me,

MK Dons promotion party.
Palace away when we bought London to a standstill, conga in road.
Hull at wemvley, they scored the 5th and entire fan base stood an applauded our boys efforts.
Arsenal away, think it was in the cup. 6-0 and fans just did not stop.

Some incredible days had with the Blades family

The problem nowadays is that only the same people with millions of points can go to away matches !. Being able to go as a treat say for a grandson ect .or when you find you have the opportunity to go ... its impossible .

Has to be this season, 2nd half of Norwich away...

My one and only away day experience but I hope the first of many.

Nothing to compare it to, but absolutely feel connected to our fan base and our club, its very special.

Hillsborough 2-4, absolutely sensational day.
Northampton, relief to finally get out of that league.
Cardiff( Ninian park). We didn't go up till the day after but was such a great away end that day.
Newcastle 06/07 prem, late kick off, Danny webber again, class weekend, class win
Leeds 0-4, don't need to comment much further on that really.

81/82 Peterborough - Wednesday night
They were ‘challenging’ with us at top of Division 4 & ‘giving it large’ about winning easily
10:30 start in Penny Black, Mulberry, Brown Bear, Stone House, Cambridge, Wap etc ‘Football Special’ train - won 4-0
Limit (or Leadmill?) on return
Straight to work for 6 o’clock shift

85 FA Cup Watford (Budgies comments about Rourkes Drift) lost 5-0
Coldest I’ve ever been @ a match - incessant ‘SheffieldUnited’ chanting throughout 2nd half - just to remain conscious
Pint with Cockerill in their social club after & he confirmed he was fucking off to Southampton to cap a thoroughly miserable day

Turf Moor Burnley 0 : ‘ ull 2
Promotion by a goal

Look forward to many more then mate, as Norwich away the other week was very quiet and tame compared to any good away day.

All the usual ones in my time, Leicester in May 90, beating Pigs 3-1, etc etc.

One randomish one that always sticks out for me was winning at Goodison in 1991. Hodgey scoring in front of the away end, Booker songs as he warmed up, yellow balloons everywhere, and the late Marwood winner.

I always drive to away games, so don’t have that same experience of it also being a piss up, like many. So, my list is probably dull…but my favourite has to be

Blackburn away 2018. My son’s first away game a few days after getting to the uk having lived in Australia for 11 years. We were right at the back and A very much not sober blade was making my lad bang on the boardings to get a rhythm going for the “Sheffield United Sheffield United Sheffield United“ chant repeatedly. Welcome to English football, son

All away days are good… we are all really lucky to have been dragged into or found this hobby

Hillsborough 1-3 1992
Darlington
Leicester
Didn't make Darlington but agree with your other two...my third would possibly be the BobBooker QPR match.

The Fulham Monty is high on the list but spoiled by the result. Another was Liverpool away in the mod 90s, won 2-1 and I think Jan Arge got both goals

Best away day ,with big Brenda 4 doors down 😉
Thats not what she told me!

She said she could have done with goal line technology to determine whether it was in or not ...
😂

Jamie Murphy mentioned the Hull semi in a Scots type under the cosh video. Spoke well of his time at United and Clough.

Darlington

Leeds 0 Blades 4

81/82 Peterborough - Wednesday night we won 4 nil

Hull at Wembley

Getting pissed up isn't all it's cracked upto be!! I'm of the mould away days equal piss up days as well but recently I've given the booze a kick into touch just for my own sanity really. I can honestly say I enjoy the away days just as much sober as I did pissed up any away day with my young en is special so I can't really pick any but looking forward to Portsmouth next week an many more this season.. UTB

A random one but Luton away last season was absolutely class.

A new ground to tick off.
Knew loads blades.
Actually won a game of football.
3 hours drinking in a village before kick off with lots of boozers.

Newcastle away i enjoyed too because it's the first time I've stopped over for weekend when going to a match. Class city aswell. Score was expected so it didn't bother me too much.

Wasn’t there, so,

“and amazingly Geoff, Sheffield United have just scored again, it’s Wednesday 2 United 3”

The match at Reading doesn’t sell out, but that doesn’t help this season !
I guess a holiday in Devon to coincide with the Plymouth game would work.

That doesn’t make sense as he finished that season with us and started the next?
