Average attendance at the Lane this season 27 294, this in a season we've been for large part closer to bottom than promotion/play off, could still be our highest average in the second tier for 40+ years. Credit to our fanbase. Attendance based on tickets sold I know, but still impressed all things considered.

BTW how many neutrals attend and why when we play like we did at the start of the season loosing game after game.

Our first 6 home games this season had 23 goals and penalty shootout. I'd suggest that would appeal to neutrals more than 6 x 1-0 Blades wins.

As a regular watcher of football as a neutral, I couldn't care less about the form of either team.

Our average attendance is currently 27,409 (taken from world Football statistics site worldfootball.net), the Luton game of 27,780 hasn’t been added to their site yet, so I’ve manually calculated the current average.

Unlike at S6 our fanbase seems to have gradually grown over the last 10 years and it’s great for the future to see we have so many young supporters (especially girls) too.

Shame we missed the 2 Xmas matches as our average would now be just under 28K.
The Middlesboro New Years Day game with Wilder returning would have been 31K….our biggest of the season.
Now the Boro game is mid week game and will be more like 26K.

Yeah those Christmas games will shaft us a bit. Not many big homes either now there’s no pigs, or Leeds. Would be surprised if we get over 30k now, with the exception possibly of the final home game.

It would have stayed around the 30,000 mark if we'd started well, and if Jokanovic was allowed to bring in the players he wanted.
