We took Bobby Charlton off when the score was 2-1. Beckenbauer had his arm in a sling after falling awkwardly in the semi final against Italy
Watched the full match on youtube a couple of years ago. I thought Colin Bell (who replaced Charlton) was the one who gave Germans problems with his energy. Seeler's equalizer was a perfect header that no one could stop. Labone was our worst playerearly set dementia

Bonetti's mistake was Beckenbauer's goal but played ok apart from that. Yes, Banks would have stopped Beckenbauer's shotColin Bell was an excellent midfielder in a Man City team that was a pleasure to watch.
You are right about Uwe's goal but my recollection is that overall Bonnetti was shaky and the defence uncomfortable with him. I remain convinced England would have won with the greatest in goal.

Have we given 18k away to schools for the holidays? Those numbers can't be right otherwisesources revealed to me the 28000 mark might be broken on Saturday

Why can't someone in the ticket office say how many we've sold in season tickets or the game? Surely they just have to click the mouse
Yes, he did have more freedom but Seeler's brilliant equalizer (the way he ran onto a long punt unmarked and then delivered a perfect back header) was the real turning point. The Germans put on Jurgen Grabowski whose wingplay led to the winning goal. Labone was ballwatchingyes thats true but he wasnt running the show until charlton left the field
once Charlton went off was a procession of German ssaults
They're only coming to see United.Brentford were given 1,200 tickets in the bottom tier and have so far sold just over 1,000.
It might not seem a good following for the first game of the season
But last year Brentford played away at Huddersfield first game of the season and took 800 there.
They're only coming to see United.
Oy! your spoiling Roys view fromOn their forum they do seem genuinely excited about the whole Bramall Lane experience.
They mention the fantastic atmosphere saying it's a really good old school stadium with proper fans, one Brentford fan says listening to the Greasy Chip Butty song in full voice is worth the admission alone.
However the main complement refers to our reputation as being the real ale beer capital of Britain.
All around the city centre and Bramall Lane you are spoilt for choice if you like real ales and beers.
Just looked on website and loads left. BLUT, kop wings & kop corner nearly empty, 2k empty in away area. Lucky to top 23k but I'll go on the bright side and say 23,402.
I would guess 1500 most on the Kop. 2000 maybe on the upper tier.South stand now offically sold out.
Westfield Corner stand getting close to sold out too with currently only 126 tickets left.
John Street stand also close to full.
However agree plenty of empty seats on the Kop wings and BLUT.
Brentford have now sold 1,100 of their initial 1,200 allocation, that's a big away following for them.
I would guess 1500 most on the Kop. 2000 maybe on the upper tier.
Probably sold 26k already at least.
Don't think there is any on South Stand this season. Season tickets were being sold down there.I initially thought the same however you need to factor in the infamous SY Safety Committee netting.
Looks to be netting in the South stand, John Street Stand and even the Bramall Lane stand.
For example the front 4 rows on the BLUT seem to be netted off and also the section near the John street on the BLUT.

John Street is only about 300 seats. Probably a similar number in the upper and lower tiers, so maybe 1k of segregation.
