Just wondered if anybody had any idea how many tickets have been sold so far for saturday?

Sadly I suspect not many. Aren't they only opening two stands for it?

The pay per match culture is pretty much dead in this country and it's all about selling season tickets. Attendances are pretty much decided before the season starts these days regardless of league position. People aint used to paying per match..

I hope United take this on board for next season and come up with something radical.

They should set themselves a trarget of 20,000 ST holders and come up with some original ideas to hit it. Perhaps our highly paid chief exec could come up with something?

all stands are open however the whole of the bramall Lane end will be for Villa...they have been given 3k tickets and will give them the Upper if they need them

Went down for 5 tickets yesterday. When are asked them if sales going well they didn't give a figure but said sales were very poor at the moment

Do you get any discount off cup tickets for being a season ticket holder?

£12 a go for STH's
£17 a go for NRS
or
£12 a go for connected NRS, Hi Mic:hello:

I bought my tickets online earlier for the back of the Kop and the there was a lot of seats up there already sold.

Got mine on Boxing Day. Thought they announced in yesterdays game that only the family stand and the Kop was open, i.e. empty South Stand.

I'm sure they said the Gac stand was open ,been today tried for BLUT but its for Villa so got my own seats for me and my lad. His last match before he joins the RAF.
£22 quid for us 2 ,my Donny mate paid about £30 for their tickets yesterday ,yet we paid £48 to sit in that subbuteo stadium of theirs when it was live on telly.
John Ryan , quickly joining my most unliked list.

"Let me hold you, for the last time. It's the last chance to feel again"
- You are currently number 4 in the queue

"Let me hold you, for the last time. It's the last chance to feel again"
- Your call is very important to us, please continue to hold

"Let me hold you, for the last time. It's the last chance to feel again".....

I used to quite like that song but not any more. Any chance we can hear more than the first few bars repeated over and over again while we're sat waiting on hold?

N.B. I would have booked online but you don't get the season ticket discount.

An urgent job for BIFF to get on to maybe? ;)

Could be worse, Tom Hark anyone?

Not suprised ...I've been down today (and still got my ST seats plus 3 other next to it), one person on the counter and one on the telephone. I agree entirely re online booking plus you can't select a seat only somewhere in a Block.

Don't want to upset anyone but I phoned for a couple at about 11 this morning and in total took less than 3 minutes, must have just been lucky with the timing.

I'm listening to that right now. Apparently they are experiencing "exceptionally high call volumes". Yet I've been number one in the queue for ten minutes and no higher than two at any stage. It's a little logic puzzle to entertain you while you wait.

:)

Sitters, that's never Charlie who's about to join the RAF?

I remember when he was a mascot and did a very imporessive Cruyff turn as he was messing about with the ball at the Kop end.

I feel sure that was only the season before last..........

Anyone got an update on the number of tickets sold?

I'm a ST holder of 30+ years & wouldn't miss a home league game but must admit I struggle to get excited about early round cup games these days.

For those interested in these things, it is being broadcast on a multitude of Satellites live, including Sky Calcio HD - luverly

I reserve my right to come a glory hunting in the later rounds :p

Shoutbox rumours are that Villa are bringing around 7,000 - are they going to outnumber us?!

Wouldn't surprise me.

Police notification I just received said they were expecting 12-14k overall

It is Trig. That was the Barnsley game when Shipperley scored for them from about 30 yards. Another one off the attendance for a while ;-( He's got a new Utd shirt to get his picture on soccer AM though.
Daughter and son 2 don't want to know ,too cold ,Football is boring ,Meadowhall is open ,I'll be the sad anorak sat on his own in the Family stand... with no family

Bought mine about 5.45pm today. apparently i was the 6th caller waiting. I asked the lass if she was in there on her own. she said that they had loads of staff on and that the queue was out of the door and they were right busy. what that all means for tommorows crowd i dont know

4 of us ion the kop, plus random mates TBC.

I remember the corking atomsphere on the Kop when we played them last time. 14,000 there I think.

Can't wait.

I've no sympathy to the club at all. Their ticketing policy is a joke with no imagination whatsoever, my 11 year old could come up with better.

The club are shite, down with the club... except its not the club that sets the prices in the FA cup.... is it?
