So if a monkey could have improved on weir's tenure, and Adkins has come in after Clough had got us to 5th and the semi's and now taken us backward, what does that make Adkins??? Because by your rational a monkey would be better than Adkins!

I can't wait for the next monkey to come along and improve on where Adkins has got us to this year. Hopefully that monkey will take us to a couple more semi finals and at least a play off birth.

Adkins doesn't have us losing every week destined for relegation like Weir.

Adkins also doesn't have Harry Maguire, Connor Coady or Jamie Murphy at his disposal.

Clough also had a fit Brayford and Harris for nearly all last season and both were more or less ever present and good performers. Adkins has not had this "luxury".

People aren't listening, so I have bumped this:

Can you all show me where McCabe (for it is he who holdeth the piggy bank, as it were, so to speak) has said that cash is available to sign players in the close season?

Consider:

a. He has put eight million bucks in this season, without any discernible improvement in playing staff save for Billy Sharp, whose goals have kept us from languishing at the bottom end of League Division One.
b. The club has reduced the Season Ticket price by 10%, in an apparently cynical move to see off the predicted drop in take up. Without 10% of predicted income, there is a perfect, built-in excuse not to spend on much needed areas for the squad.

To go up, we need to stay up, and to stay up we need at least 12 to 15 players which punch above this level.

Please, stop dreaming that McCabe will shit tenners out of his arse, or that ditching gash players will automatically mean we will be in the cash.

The easy way out is to offer reduced contracts to the existing shower of garbage.
