Ahh ok so you don't think the board and Wilder would set short medium and long term goals which includes for next season? Which will thus gage whether his position is still tenable?
In theory this thread is as close to what the board and Wilder will discuss when they get together, so why not have a debate about what targets the board might set Wilder and under what timeframes? Seems pretty reasonable to me

You might be wasting your time. I've asked Robbo on a number of occasions how long he will give Wilder if we do badly next year, and also whether he will admit he was wrong about keeping him if things go badly, but he won't answer either question.

I'm a huge CW fan but all the posters on this thread saying 46 games what happens if we in mid table at Christmas?

I certainly don't want him to leave and truly think he's the best person to get us back up but IF we were mid table heading into the JTW then IMHO it would be the time for a change.

This season has been a perfect storm of everything that can go wrong going wrong hence our position. Next season won't be and he will have one of the biggest wage bills, some decent money available for transfers if a couple are sold and fans back in the ground.

No excuse for us not being up there from the start IMO and if we're not, and don't look like being, then with a heavy heart it will be the time for change.

Any manager will need more than one season to rebuild the squad ready for Premiership return. Hence the 46.
How many of the next 46 is a more difficult question. I would say 20.
