Player Suggestion Arthur Cabral

With the window confirmed to open on the 27th it’s time for a few ‘know it all’ suggestions... especially as Ricky has fallen off the face of the planet??

Cabral is a big Brazilian striker playing on loan at FC Basel. He reminds me a bit of Mitrovic with his strength. Can score from anywhere. Has that bit of Brazilian flair to boot. He also puts a shift in making tackles all over the pitch so would suit us and our ethic/pressing game!

I’m thinking we’d be able to attract such a player so it’s not a ‘let’s sign Ronaldo’ suggestion.

13 goals and 4 assists from 22 in the league isn't amazing. But he brings the flair that we are lacking, and he has many years to improve.

Could be a good signing, if we can get him for the right price, I hope we go for it. If we are to get rid of some strikers in the summer, he can get playing time easily, especially with 5 subs being confirmed for next season too.

It’s more the willingness to dig deep that made me post about him on here. Just the sort of player us Blades love to see. Scores the full range of goals!
And yes, like you said he’s Brazilian so brings that bit of flair!
And I think his goal/assist contribution for Basel is pretty good. If he could return those numbers for us we’d be laughing!

I still think we need another striker. This guy looks like he combines the physicality of McBurnie with more flair and better technique. He'd probably be well up for it as well. The old "stepping stone" that we'll likely become for these young 'uns. Brasil is riddled with with the 'ol virus so imagine the clubs are desperate for some moolah! Unless there's any agreement with Basel he would be tasty.

The thing is there’s gems out there. According to Transfermarkt this lad has just been signed for 4mil euro by Basel!
That might not be accurate of course!
But 4mil!! What a bargain!!

Probably because he can play in that league but wouldn’t qualify for a work permit here.

not sure, but think that players outside the EU have to be internationals, or played in a European country for a number of years.
