IMO Evans was a second too slow to react. Great strike but a player with the same quality as neves would have thought quicker and closed it down.

First goal.. unavoidable. Stuck as sweet as a nut. Second one potentially avoidable. Shows the difference between spending 6 million to spending around 80 million (if I remember rightly) That wolves team is a machine. And guaranteed they'll be mid table premiership at the least.

Exactly my thoughts mate.

A second makes all the difference against these unfortunately.

The best strike I’ve seen in this division all season but avoidable? Possibly.

it was a worldy, from a player that cost more than out team put together.....
but coutts would have stopped it.

Don’t think Evans can be blamed for the 1st goal. He looks slow to close down but he has a man run across him

Obviously I was being over the top saying every. But I thought that mug was obvious :)

One or two a season I can take but the sheer amount we have conceded this season is a joke and we aren’t learning anything

You might disagree, watch that goal back and Evans and Baldock seem to be in two minds about who should be following up the tackle.

It might seem like milliseconds but against a side like this you literally cannot give them that time. You have to be completely switched on for 90 minutes and a small lapse has cost us.

Admittedly we’d have probably lost over the full 90 anyway this was a free hit. It’s just very very frustrating to concede another one like that.

;)
Problem 1. £15m buys you the milliseconds that makes us look daft.
Problem 2. It’s the goals earlier in the season that are a problem - this feels like ‘another’ when tbh it was a brilliant finish.

I'll just leave this here.

Just watching the goals back at half time now on the telly, first one falls to him on edge of box a bit luckily, but then the finish is world class. The second goal is just brilliant football from them, champions league quality never mind championship. Their footballers are just better at football than ours but what do you expect when they have spent all that. I don't think we are playing badly to be fair, I would say 7 out of 10 times this wolves team beats us. Least we have finished with them for the season in another 45 minutes

He looks like he’s pointing to Baldock to get out to me mate. When for me he should be running out, even if he gets a few yards closer he might put Neves off shooting.

Don’t know if it makes us look daft pal I just can’t stop waxing lyrical about them. They’re a joy to watch in fairness.

Agreed this is certainly the LEAST avoidable we’ve conceded of the worldies. It’s just seeing us not rushing STRAIGHT out to follow up a good tackle and instead giving him a second or so to set himself.

No issu with the first goal for Wolves. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say fair play.

But the second goal was very very poor. We had the numbers back but no one was interested in marking any bugger who was in front of them. The main culprit was Basham. If he had stood next to the lad who scored and marked up the lad wouldn' have bad time to receive the ball, get up a head of steam, play a one two and finish it off. It' basic defending (or should say it wasn't basic defending). We defended a final space rather than picking up the danger men on the edge of our own box. Piss poor goal to give away and it looks like it's game over now.

Danny 'the oracle' sufc :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

So predictable. I'm sure you have several posts pre typed and copied ready to paste into a new thread as soon as something goes against us.

Agenda Man !

Of the opposite me pal

Thought the first was one we could avoid, second was premier league quality.

The second and third goal were much more avoidable. Second goal: Fleck and Evans don't track their runners leaving us outnumbered in the box.It was well worked but looked much better than it was.Third goal: the wall bottled it. The ball went straight through the wall wrong footing the keeper.

Basham got sold a dummy but Fleck and Evans (I think) let men run beyond them and left gaps. If you're being very critical. It was still a very good goal.
