Now that we have all had our twopennyworth (self included), It seems that Micky Adams is the man chosen to resurrect the Blades fortunes. He cannot be blamed for coming second in the fan's selection, nor can he (or the board) be held reasponsible for SOD's lack of ambition and bottle for distancing himself from the job. We are where we are, now let's get on with it.

If you really are United Supporters, let's get behind the new man and the team. Restart the "Fotress Brammal Lane" atmosphere to intimidate our visitors, not our own team.

I think the way forward is to be as United as we can possibly be and the impression I get from those at the club I've heard speak is the same.

We can all have our opinions and critisisms, but there is one way to get where we want to get and that is fiercly singing from the same hymn sheet.

We need to make the lane an intimidating place to come again, in terms of the noise and backing from the fans... The time for questioning/showing annoyance is away from the 90 minutes on the pitch.

Great post. I see there are no replies from the 'purist' footballers on this site, still i suppose they will all turn up when things get better and results improve.

I lambasted Blackwell for his ineptitude and arrogance
I was disappointed that Speed didn't have the balls for the job and bailed out
I feel that McCabe should shoulder the responsibility for our current state with his mismanagement, lies and more lies
Whilst agreeing with mic over many things I think he is wrong regarding Mickey Adams
Adams is a 100% Blade and has the nouse and the brains to sort out the current plight :thumbup:
Alan Cork gave us hope at Wembley in '93
These two give me hope for 2011

Top stuff Fiery. I'm disappointed we didn't get SOD, simple as that.

My opinion is that Adams is a classic route one manager and our desperate plight will allow him some time in that regard, quite rightly, but I am convinced that the club in order to thrive needs to sign some proper footballers. If Adams is as good as I'm told he is the SUFC should have enough resources, even now to allow a manager to sign young talent from lower leagues, mix it with experience (not Monty) and build a decent footballing side in the second tier.

As I said yesterday, my main hope with Adams is that he doesn't start bullshiting the fans in the way Blackwell did and the way McCabe and Birch still do.

So true. Something that's been sadly lacking in recent years.

Back in the Warnock days we could go in at HT 2-0 down and I'd still be confident we'd get something, attacking the Kop in the second half.
