Open question really - I can remember in recent times relegated from the top flight on the last day twice, never won a playoff final, loose a semi final v Arsenal as the ref tackles Jags and there must be more,so are we?

We are as fans because of what we've endured and still are enduring (we clearly don't deserve all the shite we've been put through). But the owners are certainly not unlucky because of the way they run the club plus past and recent decisions.

But it's not just us, they'll be loads of fans from most other clubs that will be of the same opinion!

Does it matter? Better then being a plastic fan where winning trophies is meaningless and expected.
We might have had a fair share of unlucky moments but fans of Arsenal/ Man u ect.. will not understand the joy, when you go on cup runs like we have and how much fun it can be upsetting the odds.

True but at the end of the day I'm more concerned about what league I think we should be competing in rather than causing upsets in the Cups, plus wanting a team representing this club that is exciting and entertaining to watch even if it means we don't win every week.

We're possibly the shittest pound for pound, and almost certainly top any 'size to shitness' ratio table.

But yes, also one of the unluckiest.

Shit and unlucky. Good combinations. Our remarkable success is really no surprise.

Didn't realise there hada;ready been a post although not surprised really.Think Danny Baker did something some years back on Radio 5 where you had to bargain a place in the league - I think the Blades got in by having the most Controversy surrounding a football club

I'd love to suggest unluckiest and not shit but there comes a time when we have to start making our own luck.

McCabe's statement of how shit we are blaming it on Tevez made me cringe.

I think we have had more bad luck than most (possibly all) other clubs in the league.

The numerous last day unlikely relegations have been somewhat galling, but we manage to go that extra bit further. We actually managed to get relegated with a positive goal difference and with a points total of 54 if calculated under a three point win system (1981). And we have managed to fail in a play off campaign without conceding a goal in any of our three play off matches (2012). Surely we are the only club in the league to have managed to accomplish any of those things.

I heard at the game yesterday theres some more bad news coming this week. Bigger than the Ched Evans debacle he said

Or you could argue we are quite lucky to have got to so many semi-finals for such a shambles of a club. Far better run clubs never get to any.

We are one of the most unluckiest sides ever.

If it can go wrong, it will go wrong.
