They didn't sign one or two of the transfer targets at the beginning of the season because they wanted to much money and the idea was to keep the team on or around the same wage.
But I'm wondering with the latest bunch of signings if that rule still applies, and if it doesn't what effect this is having on the ones who signed their deals earlier ...
There's nothing that divides a team faster than money, and I just hope some players are not thinking now their having to put in a lot more effort just to carry others who are on a lot more money ..

It was the transfer fees that were the problem not the wages so I was led to believe
I presume Brayford will be on a good wage as he was on PL wages at Cardiff

I see no evidence of that. All players seem content.

In fact, they should all be happy to have extra strength and quality come in as there is more chance of going up and playing in higher divisions with them.

That in turn, will only be good for everyone whether they stay, or move on. A promotion is great for your cv.

Good job they don't have pay and grading in football, can you imagine that

Yes, in the absence of anything to the contrary, I believe they are. But I hope that we can continue to look for monsters under the bed, just in case.

surely messi earns more than most barca players i know rooney earns far more than jones , surely a che adams realises hes not getting what brayford gets ,Id think most footballers are aware theres scales of wages and we dont have a Beattie rift in wages nowadays

I'm sure the whole squad will be on some sort of promotion bonus which should be an added incentive.

I've often wondered though whether some players are even that bothered about promotion, some will know that if the team are promoted they're on their bikes as the team will be improved. Not just talking about the blades but footballers in general.
