Apologies in advance... 15/16 away kit?

An Adidas version of this should be easy, then. Just make it a 3 stripe chevron :)

(This was the away kit to that home one <----------- )

It wasn't actually :-)

For 1978-79 season (which the pic is from), we reverted to a white shirt with a red stripe edged with black down the left hand side (can't find a pic of it!)

If I remember rightly, it had a thick red stripe down the left side edged with black on either side. Also the shorts were black.
Are you sure you haven't dreamt this one up Daz? :D

The annoying thing about the away kit was, we brought out a black one at the start of the season and now never wear it but we wear the 3rd kit
instead. Why did we bother with the black away one?

Nope, if you have the YTV goals video, you will see us wearing it in the game at Stoke - Foxy may be able to post a link

:)

we wore the same strip in the 3-1 defeat at Charlton in Dec 1978 too. I went to that match after telling my school that I would be at Newbury all day. My Norwich supporting mate (who had already left school in the previous summer) came to the match with me

Like the yellow one anyway, looking forward to a nice home shirt for next season with the sponsor ATTACHED TO THE SHIRT PROPERLY.

Too early for this thread though!!

The new John Holland logo looks excellent, although I don't think we should have the 1975 bit on our shirts.

The wizadry pictures on posts 33 and 36 are exactly the kind of thing I like. Variations of red white and black with different predominant colours are what we should aim for. Although the original lumo shirt is iconic we've had some shocking kits that gave a nod to it and anything lumo is a bit naff really.

What I'd really love is if we kept a kit for two years but changing the away kit after we've had the home kit one year (but keeping it for two) if you get me. Three new kits each year guarantees me not buying one, it's a scam to capture those with OCD.

Make a proper kit, keep it two years, don't iron the badge on and you've got something that might actually be worth nearly what they charge.

:tumbleweed::):tumbleweed:As a bit of an aside but I'll share it anyway, I saw an article on kits and tickets prices that compared things from around the early-mid 80's.

It basically looked at inflation on the prices. Tickets have gone way above inflation, as you know, but the cost of a shirt was comparatively more back then, about £65 in today's terms.

I swear the article was more interesting than it sounds:tumbleweed::)

Wiz , there is a picture of Alan Woodward somewhere on the posts , when Darren pointed out we wore it for one season , when we got relegated . The kit still looks class even today , and how we could do with a class player like Woodward today , even just to take goal kicks , free kicks and corners.

From what I've been told our away kit will be an "old favourite" so could be this colour. We'll see the strength of our relationship with Adidas next season... Apparently of course!

As I've said before, this time around, we'll see that we've had more choice and input than picking the template.

when teams get adidas as their supplier, your 1st year you get the generic kits, the dead stock from the bargain bin and they just whack club badges on em to get rid. season 2, you get to design your own. only chelsea and real madrid do their own from season 1 due being able to shift tens of thousands and not leaving much dead stock. next season we will have what we want. The designs of which are usually agreed by the club late january.

I hear we are changing to Umbro kit next season ......................

metalblade what is your source for this? Wait, I just figured this is probably quite tongue in cheek haha thanks for the responses everyone, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what our relationship with adidas brings us... I am hoping designblade that your first attempt, the yellow and black beauty isn't too far off the mark.
