Did anyone see the incident that led up to billy being booked, from the kop it looked as if Billy was goading the boro player and the boro player appeared to assault Billy, not seen any videos of the incident

Billy threw himself in to win the ball and the Boro man had face on because Billy led with him arm. Despite him being at the side of his body and non-intentional or malicious, the Boro player spat his dummy out and said something to Billy... obviously the skipper gave a bit of goading back...

As the boro man jumped up and moved towards Skip, he sort of stumbled himself... so the usual chest to chest thing ended up with the Boro man caressing skip on the floor.

In my opinion nothing to see here... no arms flung, no assault, no nowt....

Billy's no angel and can look after himself.
He is amongst the best professional 's we have had! At least in my time anyway and I go back a long way.

Billy went in strongly with his arm up (nothing particularly malicious). Both ended up on the ground and Billy might have given him a little kick. Hard to tell, could have been accidental, but niggling rather than anything else. Peltier reacted and kind of shove/stumbled. There were some verbals after which Billy probably more culpable. 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other. Booking each way or a talking to, ether way. MGW got a booking for charging in.

After that incident though, it was noticeable that the Boro players were leaving themselves in on Sharp and niggling him off the ball. Wilder obviously thought he could wind him up to get him a second yellow for retaliation.
They were doing the same with MGW too. I fully expected one of them to succumb, lose it and get sent off. Thankfully I was wrong!

The great thing since Slav left (I wanted him to do well)-

1- we have a way of playing
2- we press
3- Billies energy runs through the team
4- we get stuck in- much more aggressive

Great if we get in play offs- but certainly new management deserve massive plaudits for these injections - simply put- it is much much better.

MGW man of the match - but I'd say the whole team was 7/8 out of 10 last night- superb from minute 1.

My favourite bit of Wilder's 'inside knowledge' was getting the teams to change ends before kick-off when they won the toss. He obviously thought it would disrupt us. Ooops.
He made himself look a bit of a fool with his tactics last night really. This really made me laugh as well.

What was the last game where we kicked towards the kop in the first half btw? We were trying to think last night, but couldn’t remember any this season.

During that incident Wilder was laughing at Billy too

All around us on the kop thought red card for the boro player, but at that distance we didnt know what happened, anyway thanks for the info

Billy also had his foot on Peltier's leg if I saw correctly

Thats what the ref gestured was the cause of the booking after speaking to the linesman.

What was great later on was Boro fans calling Sharp a fat lad then Sharp pulling his shirt up and showing his six pack, it was right in front of us on the BLUT he gave them as good as he got in a "polite" way.

Good to see the ref consult with the 4th official who was literally right on the spot. A lesser ref wouldn’t have done that.
The 4th official gave them a foul as well in the 2nd half despite being at no better an angle than the linesman.

No coincidence Billy fancied a bit of aggro bang at the side of Wilder. Any other game Wilder piles in there or at the very least gives some to the fourth official. He just stood there and took a few steps back.

Only saw it on the red button which doesn't have replays, but it looked like Billy did his usual "Oops, I've accidentally tangled with a player" after a challenge routine, and their player bit. Bookings seemed fair.

1. We have our club back. End ....

One thing with Billy this season is he's become a bit more of an angry player, he's more agressive. He's never been afraid to shithouse players. And last night it was apparent that Billy had a job to do in that respect.

The incident itself was a fairly innocuous challenge on half way, not really a foul either way, but Billy was a little later into the challenge. Peltier on the ground seemed to have a little niggle at Billy as Billy stood up, so Billy stood over him, then leaned in and said something. Whatever was said Peltier reacted and launched himself off the ground and into Billy. He probably expected Billy to grab him but billy just appeared to go with the momentum and they both fell down. It was agressive but i don't really think the ref saw it and had to rely on the 4th Official to give him info.

It looked worse as Gibbs White then steamed in.

Pretty much a nothing incident, but Billy was then falling at any opportunity after that.

The incident was well timed as it again disrupted Boro.

I have to admit i love this side of Billy, agressive, pumped and does the business. Leads his team well.

It was a foul by Sharp and then he seemed to be talking shit while Peltier was on the ground. When Peltier stood up to give some back, they fell over. Not sure either of them deserved a yellow but these days it's not surprising they both got one.

MGW then steamed in, unnecessarily. Can't fault the kid's heart but he needs to learn the time and place.

If there is a bit of good from Slavs time its the one touch pass and move between our forwards on the counter attack. The play between MGW and Sharp is sublime and something that started under SJ with N'Diaye in the mix. I'd like to think Hecky has taken Wilderball and mixed it with a bit of SJ's approach to attacking which is what we really wanted from SJ when he was here.

I think it was against Cardiff when Madine was made captain for them, he knew we always like to kick towards the Kop second half so chose to kick towards the Bramall Lane end first half.

I was watching on sutv and gage went on for about 5 mins after saying gibbs white didn't need to charge in,maybe not but the lads are in it together, was it Birmingham when gibbs did the same,I get the feeling at the end of his career gibbs white is gonna be another blades player who becomes a blade despite no ties.

It only ever seems to happen when there's an ex-Blade as captain / manager for the opposition. Statistically, we definitely score a lot more goals at the Kop end than the Bramall Lane end, but (i) that's probably just because there are more goals in the second half on average for all teams/games, and (ii) I don't really see why doing it in the first or second half really makes any difference (if anything, it's nice to get a couple of early goals).

I thought it was a red card for Peltier, he got up aggressively and contact was made with Billys face via his head. Seen reds given for far less.
