Anyone feeling jealous of Brentford?

Can't remember any of our fans slagging Wolves off, we've a pretty good relationship with them to be honest, proper club, proper fans that understand the game and understand the hard times as well.

The fans of Brentford, Bournemouth etc understand nothing, they weren't around when they were League 2 clubs, and they swan about like football is the new x factor style game show, they slag off clubs with a hundred times more history than them because they don't see them as offering very much to the new "Product".

Pricks the lot of 'em, and just the sort of clubs that will manage to escape FFP punishment when it inevitably comes around.
50 years next week......

Other clubs always seem to grasp opportunities while we just seem to be the perennial failures, went down in 94 and just missed the mass implosion of cash, home on last day to team below in 07 needing a point, practically on the tails of champions league football to a car crash team, meanwhile clubs like Leicester, Burnley, Brighton grasp the nettle.

Every dog has it's day, we've had ours. Brentford have got theirs, maybe they'll stay up for a while, maybe not, time will tell.

Two years ago we were getting the plaudits for how we were playing, the spirit and passion of the players and the noise the crowd were making. Now it is Brentford's turn to be in the spotlight and watching their game yesterday I felt a little jealous. I wonder how much more difficult they would find it if they were playing behind closed doors though?

Just jealous of their stripe backed shirts. Nothing else.

😄 Wolves - 'we've a pretty good relationship with them'...obviously you weren't around when they attacked the away end a few years ago - or when they got chased round town by Blades in retaliation after they had played at Hillsborough.
Again, i don't understand how you and others can dump all the supporters of Brentford and Bournemouth under the umbrella of X factor posers. Any guests reading some messages on this board (especially last season) would surely come to the same conclusion.
As for using Brentford in particular, having less history than us as an example....hmmm i think you should check what year they were formed.
Belated thumbs up. Brentford is as proper a club as you can get. Crap for most of its history but so what. If you support Brentford, you deserve every bit of enjoyment you are getting.

Not jealous of Brentford at all, really quite pleased for them in all honesty as it's nice to see a well run club succeeding. I hope they stay up at the expense of the dross like Brentford and Norwich.

Winning a premier league match before January. That will never catch on.

Talking of which, 13 PL defeats in a row now. We were inept last season but Norwich look like they'll challenge our record.

Think you need to re-write the phrase - "...dross like Brentford..."...easily done, just prefer to know who you consider unworthy of remaining in the Premiership.

I’m sure they felt jealous of us two years ago. Football has its ups and downs, we’re currently suffering a down period.

I listened to an Arsenal fan on a podcast recently say how he doesn’t look back or compare the team now with any frustration to their good times / unbeaten season because he enjoyed the good so much and treasured the moments he witnessed.

No need to feel jealous, just enjoy it the ride and continue supporting!

...and then signed off with "..but if if man like Lego head don't get the wins soon we wet him up QUICK fam. BRRRRAP"

You’ve got to applaud any club who has an actual plan of what they’re trying to achieve, rather than the clubs who’ve just thrown money around like clueless idiots. They’ve been banging on the door for years now playing decent, attacking football, so good luck to ‘em.

I'm getting more jealous of Brentford by the week!

considering 66 percent of promoted to the prem clubs get relegated within 2 seasons I think you are labelling us wrong

other than the 3 you mention youd be pushed to find another

perhaps if we had lied and cheated and robbed companies to get a stadium like Leicester did we could be there now

what about sunderland bolton portsmouth wigan . all splashed big cash and are with that other big spending own ground buying division 3 successes

Hi Stegosaurus here

Unlike us, Brentford will cspitalise on this seasons success rather than start throwing money around.

Wilder was footballs version of a council estate scrubber who wins the lottery then blows it all in three years before crawling back to his old job as a dust man.

I don't really pay attention. Did you confirm you're a Wednesday fan?

Woah - that would make a great movie!

I can recall another team taking the Prem by storm first season.

We were nowhere near as fluent, classy, entertaining or skillful as Brentford

We worked harder than most other teams and had a bit about us when things were going well, our defence created the platform for our success not the outstanding forward play.

Our performances and results were achieved with 30% possession in most games, with the defence being often flawless.

This irritates me though. BBC report of Brentford's win at West Hame today....

"Brentford are the first Premier League newcomers since Hull to be unbeaten after four away games" - you sure about that BBC reporter? Who were those newcomers who remained unbeaten away until Man City beat them on 28th December?

We were fluent, classy, entertaining and skilful enough for me.

All credit to them though if they survive longer than we did.
