Ha Ha Ha .... I'm old enough to remember when Hull City were nearly taken out of the league by Mark Hateley and David Lloyd and I know how many times Sheffield United have been higher than us in the league pyramid .... you have a lot to be proud of ..... whatever the result is tomorrow .... if we (Hull City) win, of course I'll be happy but ...... keep an eye on the hull City fans ... we might be applauding you lot more than you suspect. First, let's hope it's a great game and the best team wins ... but Hull and Sheffield are an hour apart and I look forward to southerners seeing how fantastic the people from our part of the world are. I don't really hate any team or its fans but, if we win tomorrow, I'd rather it wasn't a victory over "neighbours".

If I were you, I'd have a punt on your own team winning .... I've thought a lot about this game and if I was Steve Bruce (who I think is brilliant) I may be tempted to play some of the fringe players in the squad from the start ... you may not be facing a full strength Hull City ... we STILL have to clinch premier League safety, one or two of our "star" players may want to keep themselves fit for the FA Cup final (should we reach it) and might not fancy a "blood and guts" midfield war of attrition and some players may even think they're in with a chance of going to Brazil ... some of the players that thrive in the Premier League may NOT fancy playing the way you might FORCE us to play ... Phil Brown, Hull City's great manager who got us promoted for the first time mentioned how he got City to thrive in the Premier League by forcing the great teams there to play Hull City's game ... I suspect THAT is what you will do tomorrow .... Steve Bruce already said that for semi finals like this, the form book and where you are in the league can be forgotten. I really mean this .... Good Luck tomorrow and if you play out of your skins and beat us fair and square, I hope you find us noble in defeat. I look forward to seeing you lot down there anyway and passing a few of you on the motorway ... or vice versa ... I just wish we all didn't have to schlepp down to London and there was a "national stadium" bang in the middle of the UK ... somewhere like Mexborough ... which deserves a bit of luck and having some money spent on it ... anyway ... enough ... let's all show everybody how this is done tomorrow. Cheers!

Just wondering what you think 'our game' is Hull City Fan?

If you think we're a typical big, rough, route one Third Division side then you may be in for a pleasant surprise. We may not win tomorrow, but I guarantee we won't resort to hoof ball..

We dont hoof it because we never have anyone to hoof it to ,thats why we play good football:D

I have no pre-conceptions about how you play. I reckon the main difference between successful teams and less successful teams is consistency and perhaps there's not that much difference between a lot of teams from the top 10 of the Championship and the bottom 10 of the Premier league. You've beaten Fulham and Aston Villa ... crap teams don't do that! Anyone who thinks tomorrow is a walk in the park for Hull City is deluded. Yes, we may win and the bookies think we will but if we're just "ordinary" and any of your team ... or even the whole team rise to the occasion ... you get the first goal, manage to shut us out, you're in the final ... and if you get to the final, it won't be an accident ... whoever gets there can pretty much assume they deserve to be there .... anyway ... Hull City and Sheffield United have been rivals for years and tomorrow will be fantastic for all sorts of reasons, whatever the result ... I'm proud as a hull City fan that we've managed to reach our first semi final for about 60 years and that we're playing you is pretty much perfect .... BUT .... DO HAVE A PUNT on your lot winning .. look at the cup runs Bradford and (was it Chesterfield) have managed ...if anything, these kind of "upsets" are getting more common .... like extreme weather ... it's the FA Cup .... anything can happen .... I remember (I think it was) Hereford humiliating Leeds in their heyday on a little, muddy pitch when Hereford were non-league .. and a screamer of a goal all over match of the Day like a rash ... if you want it more than us tomorrow, you may well get it!!

Totally agree hull ,me and im sure im speaking for most of us blades have alot of respect for you coming on here and speaking honestly with integrety ,hope you have a great day and im definately speaking for every blade here hope you lose:D

As I said, I don't "know" what your game is ... that's Steve Bruce's job ... the media has been making it clear that Hull City are doing a LOT of work looking at you, your players before the game .... this is a different game ... you're not in danger of being relegated, neither are we ... we can go toe to toe on this one as equals .... it may well be easier for you to raise your game than it will be for Steve Bruce to avoid us being "complacent" ... having said that, our side is mainly made up of useful Championship players for whom the chance of getting to an FA Cup semi final will mean more than perhaps it would to Rooney or Suarez so, in that respect, you may be a bit unlucky. Who should you watch? Curtis Davies and James Chester are solid, Rosenior grafts and does very little wrong ... there's a decent work rate throughout the side and no big egos (well, none that Bruce picks anyway!!) ... I think you'll find our defence a real problem .... who will score for us? Fryatt has a great attitude and Sagbo? ... I reckon the stage tomorrow for him could be great .... he doesn't score much .. perhaps because his movement off the ball and assists are so much a part of his game but he can finish .... Aluko doesn't seem the same player ... Harper in goal is steady as they get ... if Huddlestone is on song, he can run games, Meyler and Livermore are useful midfield grafters, Elmohammady is just about first name on the team sheet offering loads of options ... but ... who cares? You're here on merit and .... well .... you're more than capable of dumping us out of the cup ... let's hope it's a classic game .... I noticed a lot of empty seats in the coverage of the semi this afternoon .... we're taking 27,000 ... how many are you lot bringing?

Only 33,000;)

Agree with most there hull but make your mind up,your either safe or your not

Regardless of what anyone else says, until we're mathematically safe, we're not safe so we COULD still be relegated .... it MAY influence Bruce's starting lineup ... he may regard some of the players who got us promoted with a chance to earn a place in the final or even show they're worth new contracts keeping the likes of Huddlestone and Livermore on the bench in case they're needed. I'm not sure this is a Huddlestone game ... I think Quinn (who we got from you) would be perfect for this game ... we have a bit of an Irish International mafia at the club made up of Brady (out of favour), Meyler, Quinn, Bruce, McShane (injured) ... they bring a work rate to the side which could be useful in the early stages of the game ... Huddlestone could then come on to ping balls around a large pitch with tired legs all over it .... who should WE watch out for? What do you reckon Clough's game plan is?

You should watch out for brayford, maguire, collins, harris, flynn, doyle, coady, scougall, murphy and baxter ,oh i forgot howard. Also porter when he comes on:p

Watch out for Murphy, Flynn, Scougall and Coady breaking with pace when they can. If Huddlestone plays, Coady will not give him a moment's peace on the ball.

Our most likely match winner is Murphy, he's been instrumental in the cup run and has taken apart almost every right back he's faced in the last two months. Watch out for him floating past tackles when cutting infield too.

I think it will be an open and entertaining game, hopefully with some goals!

I reply .... I know loads of people won't agree with me but I'd rather see a fantastic, gripping game unfold in front of me than win the FA Cup ... my favourite Hull City match was when we JUST beat Whitby 8-4 in the FA Cup after extra time witnessing Duane Darby score 6 goals ... a record that still stands .... I'll never forget that .... Dean Windass scoring at Wembley to take us up for the first time? I saw that on telly ... I don't like Wembley and what it stands for so we just have to make the best of it, make it, for the day, a little bit of Yorkshire and make sure we enjoy ourselves ..... I suppose there are players on both sides capable of going down in the box and that's a part of the modern game we'll just have to accept I'm afraid ... but yeah ... let's just hope it's a fantastic cup tie ..... probably more fun for both of our sets of supporters than a final against Arsenal!!!

33,000 .... great! I hope we get a massive chant of "Yorkshire, Yorkshire" going .... Scotland will get independence and I hope the rest of the UK follows suit letting the South East find out what life is like without provinces to exploit and keep them in the manner to which they've become accustomed ... your average, long standing, long term Hull City fan has far more in common with your average Blades fan than 90% of other clubs ...... I've nothing against Sheffield Wednesday to be honest .... but they do seem a bit irrelevant these days .... you see them on the football league show now and then and they take our players on loan now and then but we're not facing THEM in the cup and we never raid them for players (or haven't for a long, long time) ...... is Sheffield FC still going? Are they one of the oldest clubs in Sheffield? Non-Leaguers? We had a player called Richard Peacock we signed from Sheffield FC years ago ... tasty player .... we seem to have had a lot less to do with Wednesday ... don't know why? In the 70s, the rivalry between Hull City and Sheffield United was huge ..... anyway ... I have to be at the park and ride to dump my car and take a bus to the KC ready to be on coach 90 departing at 8am prompt. Anyway, good luck you lot.

If you're right that your management have been doing their homework then it will give you a much better chance than Forest and Charlton. My folks and I couldn't believe how they had no plan for stopping Murphy and took our attacking threat so lightly having already knocked out two Prem teams. I expect we'll let you knock it around in your own half, have two solid banks of four with Doyle in between and say 'try to break us down'. Possession stats will look great in your favour but we'll try to be very efficient with our shorter periods on the ball.

And you're right, it's about the atmosphere and memories and I desperately hope it's a classic cup tie whatever the outcome. You'll be in for a shock if we finally get that Wembley goal tomorrow...

Funny you should mention possession stats since I hope we don't fall into that trap ..... we beat Fulham 6 - 0 or 6 -1 ... they had loads of possession but no penetration and Swansea were a bit like that as well ... if we're going to swan around the Wembley pitch showing how clever we are at little passing triangles until some smartarse intercepts and runs up the pitch and scores, we'll get what we deserve. I think, for those who love watching games unfold, this'll be very interesting. Bruce IS good ... he gets very little wrong ... or that's been the case with us and he's probably the biggest strength we have ... he's been around the block plenty of times and knows the game inside out ... BUT ... the cup is the cup ...... there's even a sound bite of him doing the rounds of him saying the form book is a waste of time for games like this .... we'll soon find out. For me, tomorrow's game means a lot. The Premier League isn't all it's cracked up to be .... I actually enjoyed watching city as much at Boothferry Park losing at home to Hartlepool .... don't get me wrong, it's nice to experience the Premier League but there was something more "real" about supporting a truly unfashionable team, yes, even less unfashionable than you might think you are now ....

Agree about the Prem its all a bit false but the young uns growing up think its all about the Prem as do Sky and all the media
But its not there are 92 clubs in the League structure but the top two divisions are pricing ordinary fans out of the game
It used to be the Prem but a couple of seasons ago £36 to get in at Ipswich fekking unreal
Have a good day whatever happens

A Hull R.L(not the Robins) aficionado sat next to me during our semi with the Wendy. The chant Sheff United started, and. to this day he maintains we were the loudest support he has ever heard.

Beware the wall of sound, it is coming to get you.

Hi HCF. You seem like a proper died in the wool Hull City fan. As much as i moan about the plasticness of the Prem & tbh alot about Hull since their move to the KC i read posts by guys like yourself i think you know what..... They aint much diff from us. infact to be honest theyve had probably a worse last 3-040 years than us.

Yes we are historically the bigger team but that doesnt give us the right to win. And neither does your Prem status either.
Which all the more makes this tie capture the imagination.

Lets hope both sets of fans do the region proud. :)

Belting post Kev Gee. On the M62. Nice touch is the half Sheff U half Hull City scarves. Nice respect and solidarity. Yes. Today is a great fixture and if we win, playing Arse with their plastics at Wembley? .... I'd rather have a return match with you lot at your place. Proper club. Proper fans. Proper ground. No poncy hype. We'll do Yorkshirs proud today. Once again, good luck and let's see how we handle Murphy.

If I were Steve Bruce, I'd have your entire back 4 marking Murphy. There's no need to worry about Baxter, Flynn, Coady or Scougall... they're all shit anyway.

No no no send hulls entire defensive unit to mark our key player and play maker Kevin Doyle stop him and you stop the Blades.

Got most of that right!

Just heading back. The result could easly have been different. You were great and it was a great match. I doubt the final will come close to that level of excitement. Serves ITV right for not showing it live. Highest scoring FA Cup semi final since 1958? Good luck to you lot. You won't be in Division 1 for long. Sorry someone had to lose.

Good luck in the final, hopefully we'll see you up in the Prem before too long!
