Improvements and expansion to the stadium, new training ground, CAT1 Academy etc.
Build the fan base, leave Wednesday well behind.

It's the most boring League in the World. Why there's this wank fest over it I'll never know. The Bundesliga is more entertaining, less corrupt, closer games. I know Bayern are the dominant force I just find it a more palatable League.

We are going to lose most weeks, concede plenty and score infrequently. On paper there are 18 teams better than us.

We won’t get coverage on Sky or MOTD, because outside of Sheffield literally no one gives a shit. We aren’t interesting, we aren’t unusual, we won’t play football that’s pleasing on the eye. We are one of the poorest teams in the league scrapping to stay in it.

Sounds bleak, but that’s because from an objective enjoyment point it is.

But we are Sheffield United. There’ll be a lot more lows than highs, enjoy the ride and the highs when they come and have limited expectations!

It's not just that but we simply cannot compete with these so called big boys, and never will. I love Bash, but he should be nowhere near a start in this league, and he's only there because we can't afford to replace him.

I don't love Bash, no more than I do McBurnie, Baldock, or any of them really.
Basham , as you say, is only there because United can't afford a decent upgrade.

The money's nice in this league, and we've signed some excellent players which sets us in good stead for the future. The stuff on the pitch is fucking horrible though. It's really not all it's cracked up to be, and today's game confirmed that. Tottenham have a couple of decent players, the lad who got the winner probably being the best one but Maddison for example, he could be a player but his first instinct is always to cheat. Grealish is the same, most of the so called superstars at this level are better actors than they are footballers.

Nice to get some worldwide exposure but my version of football's almost dead, and in this league it died years back. Soulless, drab pantomime, fucking shite.

Because he was a weak individual who was influenced by the home fans excessive booing of every goal kick that Wes took. Same reason that he sent McBurnie off for dissent despite ignoring similar from Spurs players all game.

The league are taking it seriously this season and it's all being added on.

The longer the game goes on the more fitness and squad depth comes into it and we know we're lacking.

Bayern winning 11 titles in a row is domination to say the least, but I get your point, the rest of the league is fairly competitive.

If you look at most leagues, there has always been an element of dominance and bigger clubs that are always near the top.

It would be nice to have a really competitive league where at least 10 teams are in the championship conversation, but I’m not sure how that could be made possible in the current league structure.

This is spot on. This is how most promoted clubs who don't spend much find the league. We're not a shit team and there's not much more this team and management can do but the gap is huge and can only be closed by huge amounts of money. The Wilder season was incredible but it was a complete one off.

We lost because our manager came out midweek and said we'd go there and try to take the game to them and win. Then instead he sits 11 behind the ball, invites pressure onto us and allow them shot after shot all match.

We lost because he made 0 tactical changes or any changes to formation to try to turn the match in our favour.

We lost because they deserved to win. Spurs battered us from start to finish and whether the extra time was accurate or not, they had 4x more shots than us and 70% possession all match.

But yeah, let's blame everything else but the obvious for our defeat.

Sadly, neither is Hecky. Good manager at Championship level. Tactical clueless in the Premier League, and no I'm not calling for him to be sacked.
