Any Norwich players of interest?

Plenty. Westwood is arguably better than any United option and Lees, Bannan, Hooper and Rhodes would be all good signings. Reach would be real competition for Stevens, too

Westwood of last season would have been a no brainer but I think he's dropped a few bollocks this year and same goes for Lees.

Maybe the last 3 would be good in the squad with only Hooper having a realistic prospect of starting.

Plenty do make a living from being a prick. Angus Gunn isn’t one. Let it go

His late 'injuries' and general time wasting were pathetic. When he picked up some litter and started trying to get the ref involved, one of their centre halves grabbed it off him and made him get on with the kick. Even his own team mates knew he'd pushed it too far and it was only that wanker of a ref who couldn't see it.

Are you defending him to show your proud indepedent minded journalist thinking, standing firm against the baying hoardes, or are you just bored and trolling?

Neither. I just have the same right to an opinion as you and any other. As I said he did take the piss but only because a weak ref let him. If Jamal did the same thing eight days later at Wednesday to seal the win, would there have been similar anger?

Same with the ones defending Fleck, when the other way round they’d be spitting for a red and a public hanging. Some are just capable of taking the red and white specs off, and Angus Gunn wasn’t the reason United lost that game.
Interesting also that the ones suggesting Maddison have forgotten about his own histrionics with the South Stand crowd :)

And Bannan would sure come in handy for the next three games at least. And with United’s paper thin squad, any signing that would improve the squad depth like those five would be good signings :)

I have not forgotten about the antics of Maddison, want him nowhere near our team,he deserves to having his bollocks lopped off, after his shameful antics, another on a par with Gunn,*****

Well, the 'same right' ish......

I honestly don't think Wilder would let him go that far. The way they wasted time all over the pitch from the first minute made it clear it was a pre agreed tactic. Their manager may even 'scout' refs knowing who are the weak ones on time wasting. Most teams do it, including United, but to nowhere near that degree. It was the worst exhibition since Billy Davies's Forrest (2010?) when they made it clear from the off that they only wanted a point.

Agreed, but once Fleck were back I'm not sure he would start and certainly not when Coutts is fit.

I think plenty is a slight exaggeration. Hardly any might be more accurate. Thought you'd be more aware than most that a Wilder signing is as much, if not more, about attitude as ability. All those mentioned are technically decent (I think Rhodes is steadily going backwards though) but this season their attitude seems pretty shit. Yes Carlos is getting the dogs for how they set up, being too negative etc. but players have to shoulder as much and given the values on all those you mentioned, being nearer the relegation places than promotion suggests they aren't in the Wilder mould.

Rhodes may appear to be going backwards because of how Wednesday set up. He’s a goal poacher and has always been, so using him as a target man isn’t going to get the best out of him. The question was which Wednesday players would be of interest, and as none of us can read Tufty’s mind I took it to mean of interest to us fans.
Although as far as not signing players nearer to relegation than promotion goes, he did that in the summer. Twice. (One actually relegated to L2).

Not saying he wouldn't. Salaries would put him off all those from the unbounced anyway, value for money and all that. I think the opinions of Mitchell and Knill sway a few decisions, but big or not reputation and club standing hold little sway. And it wasn't nearer relegation per se that I was pointing out with those players you mentioned. More that they make up half of a team that were expected to be in the top 3, cost plenty, paid more than plenty, but are bobbing in mid-table with what could be perceived as poor attitudes. Seem happy coasting along and taking the big salaries. Not for me any of them.

Yes I agree on the costs being prohibitive but again, that wasn’t the question asked :D

Can you expand on that please?

It was a 'joke', but not a funny one obviously.

As you said earlier, you have every right to express your opinion and it is as equally valid as all the other silly ones on here.

I'd stick a smiley thing on the end, except I hate the stupid things.

:D (for the subtle dig)

I think Timm Klose's a decent centre half. He applauded our Kop at the end of that game too so he's obviously a Blade.

I like Yanic Wildschut. Powerful runner with good ability who can play all over the pitch.

Fuck James Maddison. Not that he'd be realistic.

I was going to say the exact 2 same names.

Klose had words with their cunt of a keeper to boot. He's very good in the air and chips in with the odd goal.

Wildschutt also has a good shot on him (evidence at the lane twice in the last 3 seasons for Norwich and Wigan).
