God's country ...... Rovrum!
Looks like if they don't gain promotion this season, which the evidence suggests no chance, they are in the proverbial shite next season, with the end of parachute payments and a projected £25m-£30m shortfall, with some tough decisions needing to be made.

Just had me thinking about their players. The sort CW could use and turn into a better player perhaps. Two obvious ones are Maddison and Pritchard, but suspect other clubs would also be knocking on the door, so thoughts on the less obvious ones. Are their cb's any good? Looking more likely this morning that CCV is on his way back in Jan with Poch considering terminating his loan so there's a gap to be filled there

  1. We'd need to focus on going up first.
  2. They were a reyt set of diving, whiging two hats other month.
So for now, its a no from me.

If they are broke, regardless of next season, we might be able to prise one from them in Jan to help us win promotion. That's the point Kozzy

CW might be able to improve as well knock any diving shenanigans out of them

Norwich used to have a lad called Evans, banging them in for fun, whatever happened to him?

I would’ve thought Hoolahan would’ve been a good shout because he can’t even get a game for them recently, then I realised he was 35 and thought there’d be cheaper and better options out there considering his age.

Oh well. :)

If we only want to see the ball in play for 10 minutes out of the 90 odd possible then their keeper could be a reyt signing, the prick.

He'll fit in well with our team then because a good number of them will be approaching 35 soon.

I watched the first 55 mins of the pigs game on Saturday and thought he was utter sh1te

If CW can see somat in him tho then fair enough, but not one for me
I did say ' tucked away'. He's much better than that.

I think Timm Klose's a decent centre half. He applauded our Kop at the end of that game too so he's obviously a Blade.

I like Yanic Wildschut. Powerful runner with good ability who can play all over the pitch.

Fuck James Maddison. Not that he'd be realistic.

We should buy their GK and next time the ball goes into the Kop make him go in there and get it back himself!!!

Joking aside, their wages would be prohibitive I assume. Plus, they weren't that impressive. If Fulham are having a Fire Sale on the other hand....

Where did you hear this about CCV going back 58? UTB

James Maddison and Alex Pritchard are top drawer

“We have a possibility to bring them back,”

That is the one and only quote from him in that article.

I don't know why they'd recall him.

Neither do I, but you, nor me are making that decision. Poch is

As usual, could be bollox, or could be a Walker scenario. It is the same Spurs after all

Timm Klose is an obvious candidate for me at the back, whenever I've seen him I've been impressed.

Maddison and Pritchard also very good players, Pritchard has struggled with injuries however and Maddison would come with a fairly hefty price tag but if we went up he'd definitely be worth pursuing. He does spend a lot of time on his arse however. Tom Trybull seems a decent holding midfielder as well.

Apart from those four I don't think any of them would improve us. Oliveira is a mardy bag of shite not too dissimilar to the Forest Fairy up the road.

Their parachute payments don't stop, they just reduce. The shortfall is the difference between what they're getting now and what they'll get next season, which will still be £25m more than we get (if we don't go up).
