No problem Len, about 9ish OK. That`s the Gorsienon road off Llanelli-Morrisons roundabout, what number are you?

There's a decent South Wales Blades contingent that I've chatted to over the years. Not seen Newport ( I think) Blade for a while ... I say Newport I think as whilst a cracking bloke he is very very very difficult to understand.. plus I never really got to understand why they follow us..

If it's you then have a safe journey and we are in The Sheaf View at 1345. A few other Heeley pubs before hand too if the motorway is good to you..

BANG TIDY..

UTB

We will be leaving Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire at 08:00, Arriving about 13:00 hours. Only three of us so two seats available.
Top effort that! I'm not going tomorrow but live near the M50 (when I'm in the UK) so might take you up on a lift one day! Spent loads of time on holiday in Tenby - nice place. Safe travels

The Welsh Blade is maybe Wayne from Bridgend. He first got in contact with me in the mid eighties, United used to print my address a couple of times a year in the program for anybody from S.Wales. He still does about thirty a year, sometimes with us or if not on the train. We used to use The Sheaf View a few years back with the old Bristol and London Blades, these days I`m afraid the beers less important than food so it`s a table in the Copthorne.
If you know Paul Acton(Tat) from the Exiled Blades group we may have met at some point over the years, this is my fortieth year travelling from down here.

Evening Baghdad, are you out that way now? My daughters first tour three weeks after her eighteenth birthday was Iraq, so when i see your posts I often wonder your whereabouts

I'm home at the moment buddy. But spend my time in Baghdad and many other nice Middle East destinations. I left the Army about 4 years ago and now do bomb disposal training and mentoring.
Is your daughter still in?

No, she got medically discharged a couple of years ago after a spell in Lashkargah. When the transport turned up to fly her back to Kandahar the requested help with kit did not show, so she damaged discs in her spine on loading. She left a couple of years ago, still in defence work and travelling a lot. Just wondering are you north of the M50 or the Forest? used to get lads staying with us from that way when they where down at Qinetiq Pendine.

I'm at Twyning, which is about a mile from junction 1 of the M50. Good pub on the Green where I ll be tomorrow watching football. If you re ever passing its worth a stop.
I ve done Missile Firing cover at Manorbier but never been to Pendine. UTB

Maybe tomorrow, should be no motorways shut this week. Couple of times night matches last season M1-M42-M5-M50 and M4 all had diversions, did not arrive home until 04:00. Stopped a few times at The Fleet Inn on the way back when the weather was good and evening light longer. Mother-in-laws family all from Manorbier, one of her cousins still got the Castle Inn. Our daughter was 32 RA Larkhill.

I take it you're in a Vauxhall or Renault or similar?
