The approach the academy seems to have taken where they sign the released talent from rich academies and look to sign some players from abroad for the development squads is impressive, we've already seen us benefit from it with Brooks and I think we are going to majorly benefit from it in the future, especially if we can remain in the premier league so we're attracting maybe an even slightly higher calibre of player from this pool.

Imo we should be using the cash and exposure of being a PL side to try and get some more talent recruited to the academy.

Obviously only one or 2 may make it but it’s like anything you throw enough darts and some will stick... The more options we look at the greater the chance we pick up another jags or brooks and frankly you only need one or two to develop at that rate to pay off 10 times over .

Didn't mean it like that. Fleck isn't a giant either, nor Norwood or Billy for that matter. Coutts was only just over 6 foot himself.

All I meant was that it was noticeable how much smaller he was then the other lads playing in that YouTube video, which then made me wonder if he was playing up an age group. I'm sure he'll grow a little bit if he's only 15 anyway.

Obviously not being the size of Jon Parkin isn't necessarily an impediment to him being a top player, if he has the skills (currently yes it seems) and can develop them as he matures.
