Starting to piss me off at the back of the kop mainly shouting for robsons head still

Yes i know alot of united fans aren't happy that he is here with the start we have made and i am one of them!

But McCabe said he will decide when robson leaves and it is his decision not ours, so singing songs about robson all game is certainly not going to help the players!

I may still be on a high after yesterday but i now think the play offs are still reachable and why not if we pick it up like yesterday, so even if you dont like robson why not back the players who at the end of the day are on the pitch doing the work and they need lifting im sure hearing the fans booing and whistling about robson is not helping them, Back the lads!

UTB!!!!!

Maybe they have a different opinion to you...

They may not aswell, I don't want Robson here but I still get behind the team.

There were no boo-boys there yesterday, and funnily enough we put in a good performance. The boo-boys will be back Tuesday and I'm interested to see how we play with them on their back again.

Maybe so, but it doesnt change the fact the McCabe publicly said he will deicde when robson will leave so its pointless

There were boo boys on the Kop, chanting 'We want Robson out' at one point.

It really annoys me, the way that people see fit to complain about the behaviour of other Blades. If someone wants to go there and voice their displeasure, what is it to you? They don't say to you that you should be booing, or get at you for cheering, do they? Seems to me that some Blades have a 'holier than thou' attitude, where they think that because they sit clapping and cheering at every match they're somehow bigger Blades than those who choose not to.

It could be argued that cheering on the team when they're playing gash is pointless as well, but no one makes a thread about it do they?

Chicken and egg.

But the thing is, these people are more likely to drive me away than any amount of shit football we produce, making what can already be an unpleasant viewing experience even more uncomfortable due to the animosity.

Surely if it has the potential to put some fans off, it's comment-worthy?

Comment worthy, yes; but there's a difference between making a comment and sanctimoniously re-hashing the same old shit after every match.

It means a lot to mee as it does everyone else I suppose - We all pay our money and if groans and jeers, voiced at every little mistake as well as calling for a managers head during the game is affecting the way we play negatively (as Tino just explained) then I believe it has a lot to do with us!

I think your ambitions are a touch high, but I've never seen the point in barracking the players or the manager during the match. There's a time and a place, and as far as I'm concerned, the place is never inside the stadium during a match.

I don't have an Aunty Robson, and I certainly don't sing about her

:D:D:D

The beer has normally kicked in by the time i'm sat down in the kop, so I just sit there with a wry smile on my face when anyone starts. If I end up sat next to some one who is bleating, then starts asking questions. I just tell them i'm here to enjoy a game of football and that my blood pressure will not be going through the roof over one man.

I see most of your points of view, but however i disagree. I believe anyone should be able to vioce thier opinion and just because you think differently to them does not make you anymore of a blade. If the the tactics are wrong and the team is showing no spirit an determination, why should we be pleased? At the end of the day we pay money to see a team at least try thier best and a manager who has some idea of what he is doing. Many people often forget the same fans who get on the teams back are also the ones that create the good atmosphere when all is going well, do you want us to be known as shit fans, who will take any old shit, when everything seems to be wrong?

Welcome to the forum.

I guess i fall somewhere in the middle on this debate. I support every person’s right to express their opinions however they see fit; but i personally don't bother jeering the players or joining in with 'negative' chants. This may have more to do with the fact that i feel devoid of any kind of spirit whenever i attend a blades match these days as opposed to me backing the current squad/management team.

In my experience there are always a few individual supporters who make their opinions known at a level which ensures that they intend others to hear them. Often you will disagree with them but it is easily ignored.

When vast sections of the crowd all voice the same opinions, even if you still disagree with them, it is much harder to ignore and perhaps; if you find yourself in the minority, it could be your opinion which should be questioned.

And welcome :)
