Ourselves and Rotherham are being linked with the Southend midfielder. Linky below...

Wordsworth is an attacking playmaker who is capable of playing in a central midfielder pairing as well as in a more advanced role, often looking to bring wingers and forwards into the game with his superb range of passing. With seven goals in 17 games this season, he has also shown his good quality finishing that has seen him become the club’s top scorer this campaign despite missing almost two months of the season.

I'd welcome a signing of that ilk, and an extra body in CM anyways, we've got a cracking 3 in there, but little beyond that.

The lad has Championship ability, but has always appeared lazy when not on the ball.
Think Wilder could be the manager he needs, could be a top player.

Southend has got some serious money behind them, can't see them selling Wordsworth to us given they are in playoff contention. He's a London boy as well and has played his whole career down there with he exception of one loan.

Would be surprising but, there again, he is out of contract at the end of the season.

A firm bid, unsettling him, & upsetting the apple cart for a promotion rival - it's the sort of thing a Wolves would have done a few years back. But not sure we're in that sort of league really.

Reckon our targets'll be a bit lower profile tbh.

I was thinking similar before Fleck and Duffy arrived, but hey......................voila

I'm keeping the faith until McCabe opens his gob with a statement about utilising our academy

You know we've spent too long in league 1 when we talk about southend having 'serious money behind them' FFS it's Southend we are talking about not Chelsea

Exactly !!!
The day we can't compete with Southend is the day we ought to pack it all in and build a new Asda
