I was speaking to Bolton and Tottenham fans this morning. They were knowledgeable about football (which makes a change) rather than just stuff about their own clubs. Bolton fan wasn't optimistic about their chances of automatic due to the financial mess they find themselves in.

He said when Big Sam was there they were third in the Premier League. Sam asked for £5million to secure a Champions League place. The board refused. Then when Megson was appointed the board started throwing money at him.

Once I said I was a Blade their first reaction was 'Tony Currie one of my favourite players...'

The Spurs guy says he had a mate who moved to Sheffield in the seventies and although didn't support the Blades used to go to BDTBL just to watch TC.

Update, Bolton supporting mate just turned up at our house says they were lucky to get a point, says yes they have had a couple of good results since Xmas but just feels they could slide away if they have a bad result at our place, reckons parkinson not the man to get them back up
