So what will it be Killa gets sold and same owd ? or there's a Blue Moon and sumat nice happens ?

I know which my monies on... do you ? ;)

if killa does go its because we didn't make the premier, fact of life, we have signed more players than virtually any other club in the division over the summer, can't accuse club of inactivity, and 10m for the kyles was very good business.
having said that some movement in and out still required

I feel we're still one or two short, especially with Williamson being missing long term, bad luck that.

Of course we could always see the renaissance of Brian Howard or Stephen Quinn, and all be thinking 'what were we worrying about' by New Year...

After the farce at Wemblee i said to a long time Blade the 3 K's will get sold .... it was a bit of a wind up cause i didn't think even Pisspot United wud do it ..... yer learn sumat every day.

I don't reckon we'll spend any money this transfer window, pity cos the money received for the Kyle's could buy us some quality..

We need bodies in, and although I am not privy to our accounts I believe there must be funds available.

Rough estimates obviously but this calander year.

OUT
Beattie (3.5 Million, Big wage earner gone)
Halford (big wage earner)
Naughton (5 Million)
Walker (3 Million)
Ugo (big wage earner)

Added to this is the fact that from memory Jason Rockett said that the Macindoe, Smith & O'Toole money had either been raised or atleast partly raised by 'off field revenue streams' must mean we're in a much better position financially to bid for players.

Obviously the Kenny situation put a spanner in the works but even so, I think we should still have enough money to strengthen other areas of the pitch.

If I were Blackwell I'd be pushing for as much money as I can possibly get as we're short of atleast two players and if things turn a bit sour in September & October we all know who will pay the price for it.

I think we need another striker and another central midfielder and, if Killa goes, another central defender.

We won't bother with another striker cos Blackie will be happy to lump balls up to Donkey Kong all day long cos I think he wants to justify the £2m spent on him.

I thought a deal had been sorted out for O'Toole but it had been held up owing to a problem between him and Watford. Other than him I can't see anyone else coming in during this window (unless Killa is sold). Hope I'm wrong! I think Blackie will bring in two loanees - a midfielder to cover Williamson and a striker to sit on the bench like Lupoli.

UTB

A few in, a few more out will probably be the order of the day. I can see a bid for Killa being accepted, I've a feeling that was why Kyle W was brought back!

Agree. A tall, ball playing central midfielder and a quick striker are needed. Maybe a specialist attacking midfielder is also needed if we are to use the 4-4-1-1 formation more.

After Port Vale Blackwell seemed to have had it with a few players and seemed intent on getting a couple of new ones in. Then after Watford I think he said something like "the performance may have saved us some money" - thus suggesting he wouldn't bother anyway?

We ain't getting anyone in until Sharp goes - and then it will probably be a loan!
But looking at Blackwells record in buys and loans - its not that inspiring anyway -Lupoli, Craig Beattie, Spring, Bromby, Taylor, Henderson, etc on the other side Treacey, Ward and Bunn look promising - jury out on Reid and Little

Cotterill and Halford were also successes. If only he would play Cotterril.

Fun Cotterill fact: after coming back into the side after the Wednesday home defeat, Cotts only missed 2 of our remaining league games. We didn't score in either, and one was our only defeat, at Burnley. We rose from 8th to 3rd. This was the 2nd season in a row Cotts arriving in the team had kick started them. I'm not sure it's a coincidence, and I always wonder why Blackwell leaves him out when we tend to do well when he plays. He'd be the 1st midfielder on the teamsheet for me. He can actually pass and cross, unlike most of the rest of them.

Yer may as well let our gert pick players to bring in ........... at least the dollies wud have sumat to look at ;)

An owd favaourite with some of the lady Blades on here:

If yer wud shag %$+*% clap yer hands ............ etc
they were like seals !:D

I wouldn't let Blackwell loose on EBay never mind the transfer market and I guarantee Mrs B does not let him go in Tesco alone with a fiver - he can't be trusted
