There's been a big fuss from the club about selling chips on the Kop. So when I took Small SV yesterday I promised her some chips as a way of keeping her from grumbling for five minutes. We joined the queue for food at the kiosks at the bottom of the slope up to the left of the Kop, and having perused the food offered decided that she could have a large portion of chips, mainly so that Tony and I could pinch some.

When we finally got to the front of the queue and ordered the chips that were clearly marked up on the price list I was told that they don't sell them at that kiosk, and that we'd have to go to the other side of the Kop and start queuing again. I asked the nice young chap behind the counter why they showed the prices when they didn't sell them. He replied that they were fed up of telling people they didn't have them and had pointed this out to management on several occasions but have so far been ignored.

So why can't they flog chips down there? And why, if it's impossible to sell them there do they not make it clear that the chips they advertise for sale can only be bought at the other kiosk at the far side of the Kop?

Another example of the clueless catering management. The staff get grief when it's not their fault.

And no, I didn't traipse to the far side of the Kop. She had to make do with a Twix.

I'm more surprised that there was a 'nice young chap' behind the counter. He must have slipped through the net. I thought the criteria for kiosk staff was, monosyllabic, inbred, numerically dyslexic, fuckwit. With the added ability to mishear ever order made which consists of more than one item, looking sullen and grunting what I can only assume are attempts at language without any consideration for manners or customer service.
And I don't know why you couldn't get chips there.........

I always put a bet on but noticed yesterday they were closed at half and full time. Do you have to wait for the next game to claim winnings ,what if its last game of the season ?

Write to the Club (email), I've done it and they have been quick to reply, if they are not made aware the catering manager will get away with pissing off paying customers!
