I always remember Gary Ablett coming in on-loan and being absolutely superb, then signing for Birmingham in the close season as they was offering more money, and the Blades fans giving dogs abuse at the start of the following season during a 4-4 draw.
What really saddens me about the death of Gary Ablett more than anything to do with him being a former Blades player, is the fact that i lost my Dad to cancer at the cruelly young age of 54, and i think that you say whatever you want about how good the person that lost their life was, but what really hurts is the fact that his family will be absolutely devastated at this point in time, and it will hurt them for years to come. His wife and children will be absolutely on the floor right now, and my greatest sympathy will be with them, as i know what they are going through right now. What i can really emphasis with, is how completely helpless they will be feeling to see someone who one fit, healthy and someone they loved and respected dwindle away in to a skeleton on their death bed. Word's can't say how horrible that feeling that is.
