Unfortunately this is now the biggest problem we face. Any player who has a choice between clubs is going to be hugely wary of joining us and a potential relegation battle due to points deduction.

And to the press for sensationalising something that is extremely unlikely to happen.

I doubt a single transfer target has really questioned a possible points deduction and even if they have I am sure the response will have been positive.
 
The possible pts deduction has only just come to light as well so i'd be surprised if players knew about it, of course I could be wrong.

It really seems like bullshit.

We’re forced to go right to the wire and wait until the end of the window.

Oh by the way, 2 weeks away two players have expressed a concern.

Feels like the sort of message that Chris would like to convey but not say directly I.e. it might harm recruitment.

I’d be surprised if suddenly 2 players raise a concern only 24 hours after the announcement.

Why? They'd more than likely be loans that could toddle off back to their parent club at the end of the season. Permanents aren't happening.

It makes me think they've dragged the signing of Souttar out so long, for this court case to happen, so that it could be blamed for the lack of incomings for the rest of the window..

I think even a young loanee from the Premier League would prefer not to risk being instantly thrown into a relegation scrap if there’s a choice of destinations.
 
He's definitely going to be available, not in there squad today, Clarke scored though so I think he's staying.

Not a fan to be honest would rather play o hare and hes doing my head in this season
 
He can play all 3 positions we are light in, LM CAM and ST. I would think we would be 1 of the clubs interested, just depends what others are prepared to offer re loan fee and wages % and whether players want to come to us with the uncertainty around the club at the moment.
 
What if we’re looking at Ephron mason-Clark from Cov? He wasn’t in the team and got 10 goals and 6 assists for Coventry and a very good age with plenty of pace

We might, who knows what our financial situation really is compared to theirs?

JRS seems potentially viable, I forgot Borges Rodrigues existed and wouldn't be as excited for that sort of loan.

Why would we be able to spend money on loan fees but not transfer fees, it doesn't make zense to me.

JRS is a RW... We need a LW

We have a bid on the table for Souttar apparently, so it's not like there's been a complete block on transfer fees.

Has it been confirmed anywhere that the Souttar bid is a loan? If it has, fair enough.

Wilder has said no permanents more recently, but wasn't saying that when we first bid for Souttar.
