Maybe Tanganga from Millwall? Chakvetadze from Watford maybe. If and its a big if we go up who can we get that's realistically prem quality if we are looking in the championship. I cant think of any what will help us stay up
It’s a good point it’s not a strong market for top players standing out on teams that aren’t in the running for promotion. If and its a big if we go up who can we get that's realistically prem quality if we are looking in the championship. I cant think of any what will help us stay up
We have to look for good big athletic players and i dont see any in that mould in the champIt’s a good point it’s not a strong market for top players standing out on teams that aren’t in the running for promotion.
If we make the assumption that the end promotion results are very chalky and the top 3 teams go up Leeds, Us and Burnley and the young players getting hype at Sunderland go higher than the newly promoted teams so Rigg and Bellingham go higher than us and we don’t count players on loan to the championship from prem teams then it’s looking pretty sparse but there are some I’d look at.
Murphy at Portsmouth is one I’d look at he’s put in some very impressive performances this year and we will need wingers in the summer if we continue with this formation. His brother has kicked on in the prem and maybe he’s just the later developer of the two.
Hume from Sunderland at right back we’ll need to add at least one maybe two in the summer he’s a good age at 23 and has established himself at the top of the division for Sunderland.
Azaz maybe from Boro if we want another attacking midfield option.
Where we’ll really struggle to recruit domestically is at CB and upfront as there aren’t any real standout championship options. Do you pay big money for Isidor from Sunderland on a small sample size and hope it works?
At CB I’d be chasing Doyle at City but you’ll be paying City prices for him.
Would take Hume from Sunderland if we go up and they fail to. Young, good going forward and loves a tackle (and card!)Maybe Tanganga from Millwall? Chakvetadze from Watford maybe.
Ben Sheaf from Coventry is pretty good too. Keeps the streak of buying their best players going.
Can't think of many more that would realistically make a difference.
Sargent is the obvious one to me. He’s scored goals at that level before. If and its a big if we go up who can we get that's realistically prem quality if we are looking in the championship. I cant think of any what will help us stay up

Agree. There’s the odd one or two - n’daiye, Berge for us previously. This year, maybe Bellingham and the Center half at Burnley look like they’ve got that pedigree. Hamer maybe. But you’re already paying top dollar 25-35m for those players if they’re in contract and they’re unlikely to go to newly promoted teams anyway. There will be others who have the potential but you have to accept that it may not work in the Prem. If you come back down you’re well set up though - Seargent, Rudoni, Hume, Murphy would all be good and realistic signings imo.Gap between Championship and and Prem is widening every year.
There's not alot of players who could step up and make a difference from the Champ these days imho.
Cooper, Hamer and Campbell are capable in the PL.Agree. There’s the odd one or two - n’daiye, Berge for us previously.
