He's just had his contract terminated with Leeds by mutual consent (according to SS). He is 31 but having seen him before he's half decent. Would he be worth getting in on a short term contract to help us out????

We lack options in the wide and attacking positions so why not? I am of course assuming that he is affordable. Cant see him being on a fortune but who knows with football these days!

I guess since he didnt get any games for Leeds? Tranmere couldn't afford him and he wanted to play somewhere? There was no fee when he signed from Swansea..

He did well for Swansea but that was in League1...Maybe worth a punt?

He's a moneygrabber who got ideas above his station. When Swansea went for D3 to D2, he decided to go for the money and drop back into D3 with Leeds. Think it's fair to say their fans never took to him.

I wouldn't say united have signed too many players over the last year who didn't seem a good prospect on paper?

what I mean is that i'd welcome some fresh players, especially if we can get them on a free. signing well established players for large fee's just isn't going to happen at the minute, so I see no harm in taking a punt on free agent, put them on a 3/4 month trial if they are no good...get shut. simples
