Yes, I'd gathered that Pinchers. I find affection has an amusement factor of all of 15 seconds, so talking about oneself as if you're detached from your body does seem.....weird. I can't think of any other word to describe this affected device. As a journalistic mode it may have merit if writing a novel, but on here? Perhaps Clough ought to consider using this third person device in the dressing room, trouble is, I'm sure the players would be underwhelmed.

Bert started the twats thread ,which is the longest and most thread ever in the world. I also had the pleasure of his company at the sty when he got me a derby ticket one year. Nice man who deserves respect.

Interesting comment Trigger. The same can be said of Pinchy. He's his own, very unique, character on the forum, but when met in real life he's a lovely, rounded guy with generosity of spirit.

Thing is, you've used your own knowledge of Bert to put together a picture that I couldn't possibly be aware of. All I have is an affected writing style, so please don't blame me if I comment based on that information. I'll happily stand corrected if he and I should ever meet, but until then the writing style does tend to grate I'm afraid.
