And the flip side to the OP's immaculate post is the squad that Wilder has assembled. Again, a mix of the known and the little known, yet put together with care and attention to position, ability, and character. A team of men willing to give their all, no whingers, no divers, they just get on with their jobs and play, when possible, imaginative football that most teams struggle to contain.

We've got some real leaders that know how the game is played, and they don't allow setbacks - who said Villa anyone? - to disturb their rhythm or attitude to the game at hand. It's a testament to Wilder and Knill that we're doing so well. Let's not forget, CW and AK have been at United for less than three years, yet here we are, competing against this division's finest, and doing so with the type of skill and attitude that most teams would give their rights arms to possess.

The obsession does become a little embarrassing and confirms suspicions that we in S2 grotesque, alehouse hoofnhope.
