Could not be happier to have bragging rights this morning in the office after our last game with them, it's been noticeably quieter!

I was asked for a brief Q&A by the local rag ahead of the game which you can find here (http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/norwich-city-home-to-sheffield-united-1-5359462) and rather pleasingly predicted a 2-1 away win.

As for the game itself I thought we played well for the vast majority of the game and thoroughly deserved the win. They were poor, no doubt the midweek game helped with that as Farke picked an unchanged 11 from the defeat at Chelsea other than the inclusion of Tettey. An early goal was always going to be key for us and sure enough we seem to have gone back towards how we were playing earlier in the season and bagged yet another early goal. Delighted for Wilson, it must have been hell for him the last couple of seasons what with being injured and I really do think we will see him kick on from that goal as he will no doubt want to make up for lost time. That early goal meant they had to take the game to us but they just didn't, largely because we didn't allow them to as we pressed them hard and won almost every second ball and looked like we wanted it significantly more than them. The only work of note I can remember for Moore in the first half seemed to be the apparent fumble from the deflected free kick and a straight forward save from a weak Murphy effort (how he got MOM for them is a mystery, he's awful).

Second half was much the same as the first, we had a lot of the ball and gave them very little time on it until Donaldson bagged the second following that god awful back pass from Tettey. They of course replied instantly but I must question why Moore doesn't have a man on the far post, being a keeper myself I would always prefer one on the far rather than the near as I always feel I can cover that so that for me was pretty disappointing to see. We sat back and defended wave after wave of attack for the last 10-15 mins and to a man were absolutely superb. Key point for me was that 50/50 that Basham went in for near the touchline. A huge, but fair, clattering tackle showed everyone just how much we wanted that result and really geed us up some more I felt.

Big shout out to the other new signings in the middle as well, in particular I thought Evans had a magnificent game and was just the player we needed I think.

The atmosphere was superb, probably one of the best away days I've ever been on to be honest and the "Take your time" number that reverberated around Carrow Road was absolutely tremendous!! Lord CW's celebrations at the end was the ultimate shithousing of their fans to round off the perfect day of revenge. They all hate him but none of us could care less. How good is it to have a manager who just gets it and is essentially one of us; what Norwich or in fact any side really would give to have a manager who cares as much as that. The togetherness at our club is at an all time high in my opinion, granted that my memories of the club are no doubt shorter than many others but I can only speak for myself!

Their fans have been going off and accusing us of celebrating as if we had won the Champs League but what they don't realise is that we celebrate almost every win like that now. Few of them will ever know just how bad it was for us just 18 months ago after that horror experience with Adkins and I think it's made us appreciate and enjoy winning more than we probably realise.

To everyone who was there, thanks for producing a magnificent day out. UTB!!

You’re very welcome, I like to think that I did my bit to help you enjoy your day.

It was one of 'those weekends' , loved every minute ,and Duffy and Sharp rubbing it in was quality. Fleck MOM for me just ahead of Evans. Cant wait for the next one.
Duffy and Sharp rubbing it in? Missed that, what did they do?

Taking the piss during their warm down apparently. I didn't see it admittedly as I had gone but the stewards made them move away from the crowd which resulted in some belly diving and a cone on Billys head in front of them.

I really think you chickened out in the Q & A Were you impressed by NC at Bramall Lane? You didn't have to be so polite! I defy any Blade who was there not to have been incensed by the disgraceful time wasting.

All the subs came to do a warm down in front of us and their fans after the game ,Duffy was taking the piss and some of their lot reacted ,so the stewards came on and picked the cones up to move them and Billy did a slide dive in front of them ,they weren't happy. They were still mardy arseing outside but soon shot off when they realised how many Blades were going into town.

I wanted it to go to print mate, I couldn't get away with calling them lying, cheating, time wasting, injury feigning, Kop incensing, six fingered thunderbastards.

When I first read this I thought the NC referred to Nigel Clough before realising it meant Norwich City. However, if you read it either way it still makes sense. Strange.

The answer to the journo's first question is:
Don't get clever with me you prick.

Can someone comment on the segregation of the fans in that stand and if it was enough. From the photos I saw it looked like a line of stewards and not many empty seats and in which case why do SYP insist we have so many empty seats at our place.

That is a great post. Must have been as good as a derby win for you. I would add, with considerable smugness, that I keep observing that members of the goalkeeping union produce some of the best posts on here. You may have to be mad to be a goalkeeper, but you also get time to analyse what's going on in front of you (and in my case, to work out a case for arguing that the last 3 goals weren't my fault).

Thanks! It was close but nothing ever beats a derby win. That said their mentality is on a par with the pigs so maybe it's the same :D

I couldn't agree more on the goalkeeping point, if defenders did their jobs properly we wouldn't have to be under the spotlight quite so much

The segregation was fine - me and the missus were in the last Blades seats and there was no trouble, two rows of glass partitioning with a row of coppers/stewards, tbh the majority of Norwich fans in that stand seemed fine, I'm sure if there had been any of their herbert's about our little coke heads would have been over straight away :(

You call yourself a goalie?
Nothing more than a novice if you're analyzing ANYTHING.
Real goalkeepers are never at fault - everyone else is! ;)

Yes, but 'who wouldn't do that especially away from home' WE WOULDN'T! Well, not like they did anyway.
