I don't know if it was the dull match I was watching, but my mind wandered to the number of players on both sides (including on the bench) who have the same surname as an American President. Surely five is a record? (Marvin 'Lyndon' Johnson, Connor 'George' Washington, Che 'John' Adams, Connal 'Harry' Tru(e)man and Wes 'Warren' Harding. Not only that but Lee 'Camp David' in goal. Spooky.

Shame Steffen Kuntz wasn't there. Apt name for the current incumbent

'Carter'-Vickers, James 'Wilson', 'Harrison' McGahey, 'Arthur' Bottom, Lyle 'Taylor'

Edit: Just saw you said last night, not in history. Oh well!

I may be a bit unconventional .... but I enjoyed the Brummie singing last night - the stoical Keep Right on till the End of the Road obvs. but also their support for the linesman in front of the John Street was fun.

I was so engrossed in the second half action that the cries of 'Lino' prompted a conversation with my next door neighbour about Lincrusta wallpaper.

ah

( what about the mysterious Jota, (which was a kind of Lamborghini btw) ... does he even have a surname at all?)

Gerald Ford.

If you include VP's, Curtis and Garner

Sherman......

Someone also did a massive fart on the concourse too. So that's a Trump to add.

Is the kop still the Kennedys Kop?

Also a beast of a motorcycle, a Laverda. A friend of Bert's once tried one out. He said he couldn't make it go slowly.

exactly what I felt trying to pootle around Liverpool in an Aston Martin that belongs to a more fortunate friend of mine. I was happy to catch the bus home.

I do think Jota regards himself as the Stig of football.
