So much firepower, never seen a Blades first XI plus subs so packed with matchwinners. Improvement in Lowe and RND. Norwood with a perfect corner. Oli McB looked very good coming on as well.

Overall a really good performance as we start to put it together. Building very nicely. Very, very appeh.

Not losing that first game of the season was huge, as was not losing against QPR (as annoying as the two points lost was). I was worried about the affect this could quickly have on the side, especially on the back of last season and thankfully we got the points deduction off our backs straight away.

We are putting in solid performances now, if not spectacular. But, it’s easy to forget the massive changes we’ve had. All the old heads have gone and we have a totally new group really. We’ll only improve and get better and more consistent in our play, IMO, once the players start to gel and settle.

Squad depth is the biggest concern, but we do seem to have a bit of better handle on injuries now, so hopefully that’ll continue and we can add some depth in January.
