Player Suggestion Ali McCann

Ali McCann is a 21 year old centre midfielder for St Johnstone, I watched their game last night and what a player this lad is, headed right to the top. Box to box with a great engine, breaks play up with ease and then in possession he has great technique and doesn't give the ball away and has real class about him. Without a doubt he would go straight into our side now and I would expect he would be cheap maybe 1-2 million.

Fully expected that type of response. Usually spouted from English people who know nothing about football in general, nothing about Scottish football and have a superiority complex. No players come from Scotland that are any good, none. John McGinn and Andy Robertson are two off the top of my head that came from small Scottish clubs, but they are no good, absolute garbage.

For what its worth St Johnstone were in the Europa League yesterday, went out 5-3 on aggregate against Galatasaray. Respectable enough performance from the Hallam FC of Scotland and Ali McCann was the best player on the field by a country mile and would walk into our side.

They pay ok at St Johnstone, not on par with what we could pay but not too shabby, the elitist attitude you talk of can actually work in our favour though, because it certainly exists. John McGinn was touted about to numerous clubs down here for peanuts and was rejected for a good while

Watched the game myself and was impressed with him. Young so will likely improve.
Bit on the small side, so would fit in with the rest of our squad.

The Turkish winger (not even going to try and remember his name because it was a long one), looked very good too. Really stood out and took his goal well.

Fuchs at Dundee United is also a good shout. He bossed the midfield in their win against rangers. Still young and France u20 international. Final year of contract.

Really wish we had gone for him, just gone to Preston for £1 million, I think it’s a snip so will be interesting to see how he does this season.
