Signed for Northampton.

Good signing for Northampton . Shows they mean business.

Our signing will be better , although I would have had Revell at the Lane.

Ours has to top this one and it will . If Wilder wanted the guy , he would have signed on the dotted line .

Wilder may well be taking advice from Billy , for the best glove fit , up front with him. We ain't got spare cash to waste or burn , so we cannot take a punt , it has to be right first time , whoever it is.

We move on.

We can't sign all the names we are linked with

Holmes, Jackson, McFadz are 3 that I would be happy with

There will be one or two that aren't even on the radar, so let's wait and see before we start the inquest

Now he's gone elsewhere the Star are reporting it as an absolute fact that we wanted him and he turned down an offer from us.

I'd imagine it's a case of him wanting to go where he'll play every game, so fair play to him.

Just said the same to a mate.

In a way its a good sign for us. We're obviously not offering money that entices a player to come and sit on the bench.

Credit to Revell as well, good move for him.

To be honest I'd rather Lee Novak anyway, but the Star says we're not interested. I do think Shield does get most things right., Sorry if that offends some but in his position he will have contacts that we obviously don't. Not too concerned that Revell chose them over us, true or not.

Revell is 33 on 7 July. I would like to think he wouldn't have got a 2 year deal with us.

Wilder has made it clear that he rates Billy Sharp and will play him up front. As he played 4-2-3-1 with Northampton, some central strikers may quite possibly be a bit reluctant to come to us due to concerns over limited playing time.

Hopefully Wilder will be able to bring in one of his main targets.

If we play 4-2-3-1, with just Billy up front and (say) Duffy-new MF-new LW behind him, it's possible we would have Adams, Done, McNulty and Calvert-Lewin on the bench, assuming none of them go elsewhere. There will be plenty of L1 teams who would take at least two if not more of those straight into their starting XI. And this is after we moved on or transfer-listed 20 of last year's squad.

I see the PIG Star have put the article in the wendy section. The comments at the bottom of the article are mainly from pigs

Somehow I can't help thinking they did it on purpose

The pigs comment or our stories regardless of where they are.
Reading the comments on the Star's website is the most infuriating thing in the universe.
You're probably right with them doing it on purpose though.
