Sky Sports News webpage has us mentioned along with Coventry, Birmingham & Bristol City as the clubs looking at signing Revell.

Hopefully it's just random clubs being plucked out as being 'interested'

For a guy who's 31, he hasn't played many games in his career...272 starts with 80 sub appearences.

Maguire is only 21 and he's already played 133 games with 1 sub

I am hoping that is what our scouting system are doing as we speak pal. Three Chesterfield forwards scored 7 goals between them today, hope we are keeping an eye on them.

They're similar players in stature & workrate I believe ...... the difference is that Revell scores goals at this level and Sammon couldn't finish a bacon & egg sandwich !!

Daniel Johnson played for Chessy, Oldham and Preston last season so perhaps not an issue?

He's a decent target man at this level but has his limitations as do all 3rd division target men. He would do a job for the team but would be derided for the fact he doesn't have pace or trickery. Would be labelled a donkey by many.

Can't say I know a lot about him, other than he scored a very good goal for a small club once.

Similar ilk to Hanson? 4 years older than him, no idea if he's better.

I like Wimbledon's idea of four different types of strikers who can all fight for a first team place.

I see no reason why somebody like Revell or Hanson is a bad move to have as a different option to the likes of Sharp, McNulty and Done who are similar, poacher types.
