Aleksandar Mitrović vs. James Wilson

Wilder was bound to have been frustrated with having relative pennies to spend and that frustration is only likely to increase if we miss out on the play-offs.
Whether that adds up to him deciding the grass is greener elsewhere (if that opportunity comes up) over the summer, time will tell.
No-one could really blame him if he left as it's his career at the end of the day.

Just a couple of points:
Wilder has more at his disposal than at any other time in his managerial career.
The teams doing really well haven't just spent a few quid more than us, they are all chucking about 8 times at it what we have.
If you buy one player for 10 million quid and he's a flop everybody says you are a terrible manager. If you buy 4 players for that price and 2 of them are great, they say you are a good manager ( 2 great players in a Championship side will get you promoted).

Summed it up in a nutshell.

Same reason he went to Northampton Town - he's only in it for the money.

Amazed he hasn't left already.

Though some have values other than money.

Wasn't he on his way to Charlton before he came here?
It's not some kind of black mark against Wilder if he wants to progress his career and sees a better opportunity elsewhere.
He might not but we couldn't begrudge him if he did.

Jordan Rhodes would have 30 goals now if he played for us. He's up there with the best in the division. He's a much better finisher than Leon Clarke. He's just down on confidence, playing in a shite team.

If the pigs decide to sell him someone is going to get a bargain

I don’t think Wilder wants to throw £10mil at a single signing I suspect he’s identified quality players that fit his checks and they will be in the £1.5-£3mil bracket.

This is where the problem is as we can’t afford that amount and this is where I can see him getting frustrated as this is peanuts in the champ.

Unless we see him backed he will be off at the end of next season.
