Let's be honest if Laffery had the crossing ability of Hussey then he'd more likely than not be in Burnleys first team squad, the only reason we have him is because Burnley don't view him a Premier league player, that said he's proven at Championship level and I don't see us playing this system next year in the Championship so he will probably be used as an orthodox left back in a 4 man defence

I was thinking he's just a steady player and when Wilder brought Riley in I wondered whether he may have been thinking the same.

HOWEVER for the first time in decades we have a manager whose judgement I totally trust and even on the one occasion he's got it wrong (Hussey) he sorted it straight away. The fact Wilder has signed him on a proper contract tells us he thinks he's good enough for the championship and that should be enough for all of us so let's get behind Lafferty and the rest of the team.
