Went to a wedding in Cleckheaton Saturday. Was talking to a Hudders fan. He feels they have the fire power up front, but is worried about their defence. He mentioned the two centre backs are cack. He said that anyone of pace would murder them as they are as slow as donkeys. Do we have any pace up front? Errr no. :)

Also he felt whoever wins the midfield battle is likely to win the promotion spot.

The Bride Groom was a Leeds Fan. When he came up to us we both started singing. We all hate you know who lol

Afternoon all on this glorious Tuesday afternoon. Let’s hope it’s as nice on Saturday. You can't beat watching football in a t-shirt rather then wrapped up like an Eskimo on a cold Tuesday night.

It seems our two sets of supporters expectations are very similar and therefore looks like 50,000 Yorkshire people are heading to Wembley to enjoy the day, sing there hearts out and hope lady luck is smiling in there direction. Any news on McDonald as he's a decent player?

On a separate note its good to see and also enjoyable that a number of United supporters have come onto our site with decent banter and a friendly attitude. This all Yorkshire final is certainly one 'love fest'.

We have sold around 22k and I'm guessing you've sold 26-27k which is disappointing. We took 32k to Old Trafford but think the ridiculous prices are putting both sets of supporters off. I really did expect your 39k allocation to go and for us to be around the 27k mark.

Yet again the typical football supporter is charged sky high prices and in a recession as well. Surely more sensible pricing and a 90k crowd spending money in the stadium is better then a half full Wembley *Rant Over*

Hi Panny and welcome,

Know a few Hudds fans living here as I do in crappy ol' Bradford.

But you're attitude is akin to me own mate! Now we've lost our strike-force it's gonna be down to those little breaks I reckon too. All in all, I'm just going down there to see my team at the 'new' Wembley and have a good weekend no matter what the result. I'm just pleased that at least one Yorkshire club will win it, but of course, that club shall be sufc....:D:cool:

Don't agree with this mate.

Our team will be ripped apart too. Also, the pressure is on us really bad. Highest wage bill in the league, finished above Huddersfield, never won a Play Off Final and to top it all off Wednesday got promoted. Can you imagine our summer if (and next season) if Wednesday are in a league above us!!
As for me i feel the blades are about to win..yahay
:D

I think the only people who care about the owls being above us are ,,,,,,owls fans
Im more concerned that Wigan are a prem team, with no pedigree

I'm preparing myself for the worst, just in case the worst does happen, then i'll not be too disappointed.

Nowt worse that building myself up, thinking we are going to win, and going down there buzzing in anticipation of getting promoted, because when it we lose it will make it all harder to bear.

So i'm going down not expecting anything, expect a defeat, and hitting the Gin on the way back.

Fair play to Wigan. How I laughed when they became a league club. Wigan Pier, egg chasers etc., how the jokes flowed.
Now the jokes on us, remember Dave Wheelan supported us in the Tevez saga. They and the Blades are where they deserve to be. Saturday evening I believe we will be a little closer to Wigan. The past means nothing, lets deal with the present and look foreward to future success

You couldn't be further from the truth. I think that anyone who doesn't care that the pigs are higher than us is.....a pig.

Oh and, what a nice change to have a decent craic with a fan of the opposition, and especially when such an important game's looming. Never had any affinity towards Huddersfield but fair play to the fella who started this thread, very sensible and very reasonable. Hope you have a great day Saturday.....but end up really disappointed ;)

I dont care about Wednesday , why should I, THEY MAY BE LOCAL BUT ARENT MY TEAM

Because they are our local rivals. The scum, the pigs, the filth. As Blades we should care about them and them us. It's a big part of what it's all about.

I'd take our hatred of the scum and them hating us over the non-rivalries smaller clubs like Donny, Barnsley and Rotherham have to try and build up to be something they are not.

The fact that it was the scum that pipped us to second spot this season is what hurts the most. Had it been any other team, it would have been a case of "I'm disappointed, but at least we still have the play-offs". As it is, I am still absolutely gutted and I hate the fact that they will at best be at our level again next season and at worst be in a league above us.

Striving to be better is easier when you have somebody to strive to be better than.
