That’s how we have wasted a 14 point, game in hand lead and +15 goal difference IMO.I expect tonight we'll be cautious

Big mistake to do the usual and expect a better performance than last 10 games
So long as he doesn't wheel "tiredness" out as an excuse I dont care what happens, nobody broke a sweat last Saturday.. So they can't be tired, tiredness, come on ffs, it's the job..
Berge had a little sleep during the match, so he has less excuse than most.. But only just.
I had to say to the bloke stood next to me on the Kop at half-time against Luton
"Is it me or did literally nothing happen in that first half", no attacking intent from either team.
I did say "Maybe Hecky is being clever and deliberately trying to conserve energy, so aim for a 0-0 at half-time with the most minimal of effort'
Then basically the match result is all based on how we perform in the 2nd half.
The Luton match reminded me of when we had Nigel Clough as manager, where nothing happened in the 1st half, as it was always 0-0.
Then we'd open up and up the tempo 2nd half, deservedly score, then once we scored we'd sit back defending the lead inviting pressure.
Whilst telling you he isn't a fan of data but using it as an excuse when it suitsIt doesn’t matter what the score is when you have a manager who
1- Isn’t judged on results by his boss
2- Is only bothered about what the data looks like
Big Sam Be seeing you
AgainI'm hoping we see a Forest away in the play off semi-type performance. That was off the scale. In reality, I suspect it'll be 1-0 either way and Berge will not need his shirt washing.
Credit where it’s due much better performance tonightNail on head. Private Godfrey in charge. Hand on heart, when he have decimated a team this season? When have really just had them on the ropes all game and toyed with them like a psychopathic cat on a poor farmhouse? Burnley maybe? But it should be more!
I thought it was the players conserving energy because they knew they were better. But it turns out, it's probably Sgt Schultz pretending to "know nothing".
Da f**k do I knowI think the Boro result WILL have an effect on how we set up.
If we lose, Boro go above us if they beat Preston at home.
Game in hand or not, that will put us under a whole new kind of pressure playing catch up against a side that won't let up much.
A point tonight keeps us ahead regardless on the weekend's games.
I suspect the psychological outcome of that scenario playing out will figure highly in the way Hecky approaches this game.
