Its about time the players that actually play on the pitch take some responsibility aswel as the manager for me.

You can play a system, you can be blamed for it, but if players are having chances and missing you can't blame a manager for that..

51 shots in 3 games and scored once.

Many of those shots were taken by players signed by Wilder to be fair…

I could be reading far too much into it, but it felt like it was Wilders response to fans pointing out that he went straight down the tunnel after the last defeats... “I’ll have a go at the players on the pitch instead… appeah now?!”

He should've had that talk with them back in the dressing room, but that's all it looked like to me a talk to try and gee them up not a bollocking.
You may be right but, either way, it should never be done in public

It's something he does semi-regularly. First time I remember seeing it was a pre-season friendly at Mansfield circa 2018.

"Don't worry lads, if any of those fans say anything nasty to you, let me know. I'm a bigger Blade than all of them put together so any trouble and I'll get my mates to sort them out."

Impossible to know without being there.

We'll see soon if it was the right approach.

For all you know it could have been Wilder saying “we’ve come this far, you’re better than this. Bottle up the anger and frustration you feel now and don’t throw away what you’ve achieved so far.”

It doesn’t mean he stood there Phil Brown style and just told them how shit they all were.

Masterclass from Chris that. Gee them up after losing to bottom of the league.

If not to gee them up then what, just give up maybe?

Maybe I could've phrased it better by saying he was trying to keep them focused to stop their heads from dropping after 3 disastrous results on the spin that has probably put paid to our autos chances. I don't think we'll win the Play Offs but regardless he and the team need to try and use these remaining 4 matches to try and get into some good form before we begin that campaign, like I say what other alternative is there other than giving up?

I never wanted Wilder to come back but that ought to be a discussion for the multiple threads on that topic.

I don’t care either way - doing it so publicly showed a massive lack of management understanding
