If I were Clarke I'd be pissed off and uninterested, but he's just got to suck it up until he gets his chance. Billy will have a crap period and Done's hamstring will ping at some time.
If he starts scoring goals he'll soon be getting a start. He can't really complain can he. According to the BBC he's only scored as many as Woolford

Is it right that Billy has never scored more than one in a game for Utd or is that a myth ,I cant remember him scoring more than tbh

I think this is right during this spell, meaning he's scored in 25 out of 52/53 league games. I'm sure he scored a double in his first spell

Thank you BB for writing a report it is much appreciated. It makes me sad when people come on here and criticise a report, especially when some of those critics can never be bothered to originate a report themselves.
It is true that Deadbat's reports are top class. I think he must either speak into a recording machine in order to remember everything or, alternatively, he is an alien with a superior brain to humans!

Cheers for the quick report. Couldn't get a ticket today so appreciated. Ended up at Fulham instead. Che hasn't changed (missed one sitter, went down softly in the area but actually won the pen which was then missed), but Brum attacked at pace which should suit him fine. McDonald also played and Cotterill made a cameo late

Tell my wife this please!

Cheers for the comments. I accept my reports border on negative sometimes but generally it has been negative for quite some time. I might post some old reports from when we were good every now and again for a bit of nostalgia factor!

As for remembering everything I have made and will continue to make quite a few mistakes or forget incidents. Sometimes when I have been away and had several pints it is a struggle!

Love your reports mate, always seem to be spot on.

if we can keep scoring more goals than the opposition I reckon we can win games

Thought Duffy ran the show first half, then missed 2 relatively easy chances and then disappeared.
Done was MOM.
Not convinced by Lafferty but give him time.
Defence played well against their aerial threat.
Think we play too many long balls but look good when the ball is on the ground.
.

Agree with all of that. Duffy looked class until vanishing. If him and Coutts tick, we have two stand-out players at this level and plenty of firepower in front of them.

I can't believe some of the criticism he gets. He had one (admittedly easy) chance and scored. Other than that he barely got the ball.

He was peripheral but put the ball in the back of the net from 4 yards out and that is why he got a 6 rather than a 4. I'm amazed that some are prepared to overlook the fact that he's underperforming in his overall game purely because he's managed to score.

I appreciate that some consider my marks for Duffy and Sharp to be harsh but frankly I expected more. Duffy missed two gilt-edged opportunities and faded when the game was there for the taking; as noted above Sharp was anonymous once he'd scored.

Wasn't there, but watched it back last night...Never a Free Kick for their 2nd...anybody seen it?...Coutts hardly touched him,and he did a good impersonation of being shot.
You can hear CW & Knill along with the Dons Manager with constant instructions on the side lines.
Like the look of EEL and Done,Duffy and Coutts stood out for me.

That's something I didn't cover: the referee was poor throughout: I get the feeling he'd uncovered a handbook from 2007 explaining how thuggish Sheffield United teams are. It was embarrassing at times; 10 minutes or so into the second half right in front of us Sharp used his body to draw a foul from Poleon, who obliged by going straight through his back: no free kick. Compare and contrast to the one which they scored from.

What I will say, though, is if you've got a referee who can't wait to give free kicks don't go diving in. Pretty simple but not a lesson we seemed to learn.

Don't think he gives in though BB,he just got tight and the lad did a theatrical dive.

Agreed - that one was ridiculous but my point was more general. We gave the ref too many opportunities to give a free kick when we didn't need to.

During this spell he has only scored 1 goal per game (25 goals in total- all in different games).

In his previous (2nd- Under Blackwell) spell with us, he scored a hat-trick v QPR at the lane.

Agree that he was on the periphery for some of the game but some of out best moves came through Done and Sharp linking up. It was quite noticeable Clarke was struggling to get in the game when he came on (still struggling with his injury) and missed the chance to shoot on a couple of occasions and lost the ball.

I wonder how fans would rate Keith Edwards nowadays....not the best work rate, link up play outside the box poor, hold up play distinctly average. I am sure he would have been a 'target' for some fans as in some games because if he didn't score they would claim he did nothing.

Inside the box thou has there been anyone better in the lower leagues ?

Keith could be very skilful at times. He could go past a defender, turn a defender, had an array of shots and chips was good in the air and took fantastic free kicks. I doubt there has ever been anyone better at one on ones.

He didn't defend much and didn't run himself into the ground (which meant he was still sharp right up to the final whistle) but I think he'd be revered by the younger Blades in the same way he was by us.
