So tomorrow is the day we're I have enough loyalty points to get tickets for Port Vale away. However, i will be working on the Good Friday and will therefore be scheduled to miss it. To set the scene, I'm thinking that "what if we cause a hiccup in the next two games and the Northampton game IS NOT the game we get promoted?"

My plan is as follows; IF United get promoted this Wednesday or Saturday, I will have no choice but to get a refund for my ticket due to work commitments. However IF United blow their chance this week then I'm going to have the hard job in calling in sick at work to go to Port Vale.

What should I do guys? Get the tickets for Port Vale tomorrow and wait. Or should I risk it and wait until the outcome of Wednesday and/or Saturday?

Without wishing to tempt fate, I think we'll almost certainly be up by Good Friday.

We'll need a result at Vale for promotion. I can't see Oxford beating Fleetwood on washday, and I don't think we'll pick up 2 wins from Coventry and Northampton. May need just a point at vale to confirm it....Get the tickets, don't risk the game selling out.

We won't need anything at Vale Park for promotion , but we'll still be after points for the title.
We ought to beat Coventry and i can see Fleetwood failing to emulate us by only drawing at Oxford.
That's enough in my mind , fuck the PhD maths & string theory.

Hope you're right pal, but I think Fleetwood will be too good for Oxford. Fleetwood definitely will struggle at Oldham on Saturday though - much like we did - so a point at Northampton may clinch it.
Who knows when it will happen...but it will happen! UTB

Fleetwood are doing a really good impression of the Titanic at the minute, Hanging about but slowly sinking. Oxford will bounce back and take the 3 points to Allow United to beat Coventry and let the party begin.

As your boss I would ask you how much you truly value your job.

If it comes to the Vale game sit down with your Boss, explain the situation and ask, nay beg to be allowed to use a days holiday.

Unless he/she is a Pig then I am sure you will get a sypathetic response. If you phone in sick they will know what you are doing and you risk losing your job.

For what it's worth I don't think the Vale game will prove to be significant. Promoted at Northampton, title at Milton Keynes.

Cheers for the advice guys! I've decided to buy em (just in case) but I'll sit down with me gaffer and talk to him if it goes to the Vale game which is about a 15% chance

Get a Tkt. The last working day before the Vale match go into work but say you've struggled to come in, make out you're a warrior for coming in. (vicks under the eyes, bit of coughing etc) Then on Good Friday "sorry boss, it's beaten me, just need sleep to get over it"

When I was 19, I valued the 1997 play off final greater than my employment serving food and beverages.

The manager issued me with an ultimatum, you will work Bank Holiday Morning or find yourself unemployed. I called their bluff
AND ????? Did you get the push ? Dont leave us hanging Brownie !
