Thin end of the wedge I know but apparently in talks with charlton..

As far as we're concerned if he repeats the shite he turned in last year we don't have to worry about one of the relegated teams next season...

Seen online btw..

Who is the most desperate Charlton or Adkins or both or match made in heaven

UTB.

One team that'll be much worse than they are now then.

And one less to worry about. No complaints here.

Sounds daft with the season we've just had but they'll be getting a better league one manager than what joined us last summer, who had not managed in this league for a while. Adkins will have learned a lot from last season.

Sod's law he'll pip us to promotion next year! Burton benefited from clough's time here too. Its bad enough seeing our ex players doing well at other clubs, hope we don't start to see it with managers we've binned off too early.

Good to luck to Adkins.

Although if he thought there were problems at board room level here then he will find it even worse at Charlton.

He will have to try and be peacemaker between the owner and the supporters there, a job that no one wants.

Yeah, just got in and I can see charlton fans getting some unseen endeavour lessons in preperation for the arrival of dean Hammond....

He might get dan burn though, now he won't have to leave London...

If Clough had been at Burton from the start of last season , they would have not got promoted.

Adkins stock and credibility would have plummeted even more , if the London pundits and journalist hacks didn't view us as a sacking club , and looked into how poor Adkins actually was.

It's good seeing ex players doing good as any other in the lower leagues , but at the end of the day who cares.

It's what Wilder and what we do as a club next season that counts. Could be we finished up with ex Ackrington Beattie , now that would be scraping the barrel . Let's embrace Wilder .

On reflection Charlton and Adkins compliment each other , in both going nowhere .

He caused he problems in the boardroom here!

I can see it now "Charlton Promoted, Sheff Utd sack Manager"

I think Adkins could and will do well again at another club, maybe that's Charlton, but if he does go there he'll be in a mess of a club. Its a big task to get them promoted next season. I would say play offs are more realistic for them. Adkins might be more suited to a club like Charlton than us, i.e a smaller club and one with less expectations than ours. I'm not sure after his comments about pressure and negative atmosphere at the Lane, that he's suited to a big club unless he is able to hit the ground running and inherit a decent team like he did at Southampton. I hope he does well where he goes, but that said, if he joins Charlton next season, then I'll certainly be letting him know what I think of his comments after the Scunthorpe game!

Well ....... let's not be too harsh on the poor chap, in fact lets give him a helping hand if he goes to Charlton.

He can have Hammond, Coutts, Woolford, Done & Scougal for the cut-price of £2.5 million and we won't even ask for a friendly match ......... ;)

Some one has already pointed out that Clough got three more points than Hasslebank got over the same number of games.

Grumpy stop it . That's being too bloody positive for the twat . Also they were easier games and the weather was kind to him.:D

With all due respect to our ex manager , I was prepared to give him to Christmas of next season , to try to turn it around .
That was before his comments about the fans , the life blood of any club .
Before we all knew he'd done us up like a kipper regarding mr Hammond .
So now Fuck him , his new club , whoever it may be , I wonder do they have someone like Roy
who does the view from , because their forum would go into meltdown with the amount of posts they would get .

Interesting rumours doing the rounds just recently -

Ryan Giggs at Bolton
Russell Slade at Charlton
Jose Morais (former Mourinho assistant) at Port Vale

Adkins at... ??

Did York sack their manager after going down to the Conference?

It will be interesting were Adkins will land his next job . I cannot see any chairman taking a risk or a punt with him . He may well finish up on the scrap heap , but not cracking it at Reading and Blades , shows that he has something lacking and a flaw in his management skills / technique . You cannot go on blaming the chairman , board and ultimately the fans.

It was rumoured that he was in the running for the Bolton and Charlton jobs . However IMO if Owen Coyle can get back on the manager musical chairs , there's hope for anybody .

Next chairman of the LMA ?

I was hoping that after his comments about the fans post Scunthorpe he'd end up at another league one club and then for Wilder to have the lane absolutely rocking as top of the league, United dispose of his outfit 3-0 to clinch the title sometime in late March.

The only job I can see him getting is at Looney Leeds , when they sack Monk after 6 games .

Adkins is on the same level as Cellino , and would be a match , with mad cap ideas , and ideas on football .

Neither of them would not know what the other one was on about .

Interviews would be comedy gold .
