If Max is right, we've signed Adkins but are still exploring all possibilities of capturing Robinson?

Where's young Max when we need him? Maybe the board have lured Adkins down to the streets of London to make sure that our backs are covered if Robinson decides the mighty MKwotsits are where his heart is at? Or maybe Adkins will become McCabe's gimp should our esteemed chairman see other potential in signing Nigel........the possibilities are endless, but I must bring closure to this. Only a few hours to go, the appointment will be confirmed, and then the equally serious business of reinforcing our ranks will begin.

A serious question - without knowing at this point, does the length of Adkins' agreement reflect the urgency to get promotion at the first attempt?
