The substantial stuff is probably Flo and Bash available, Wallace out long term - maybe beyond the end of the season, Ryan Kent ruled out. Pathway for the youngsters gets two or three mentions at least.

  • Bash and Flo available
  • played well Rochdale and Fleetwood but didn't take chances
  • good week in training
  • tough game
  • took them a while to readjust
  • Lee Gregory "a player we've always liked"
  • next game is the most important one ;-)
  • a consistent run needed
  • division will change, interesting results on the way
  • players work hard and believe in what we're doing
  • K Wallace hoping to get back before the end of the season but not sure
  • pathway for the Academy
  • priority for first team to win
  • spend a lot of time watching the youngsters
  • seems to mention DCL as a goalscoring option
  • mentions going into play-offs with momentum - our run in is not easy (ten games, five v teams above us), we will really be on a roll if we do make up six points with those fixtures
  • Hammond ultimate professional, [a good example of how you] might not be the best player but you can achieve in the game, a lot of other things required (basically his own version of SAF's "hard work will beat talent if talent doesn't work hard" - or whatever it is - in a different era Keegan was like this),
  • wealth of experience, players like this are important to the culture of the club, brings a lot to the team - summer will take care of itself
  • generally senior pros set the standard
  • Ryan Kent not coming out of Liverpool at this time - taken at face value this exact wording is revealing bc (I think) it indicates we have been inquiring about him
  • non-committal on ins and outs - fwiw I think re ins that might be it for now - but that's not much more than a guess
  • getting the train down to Millwall
  • "a couple" on international duty next week - not sure who
  • pathway for the youngsters gets another mention - another one

A brilliant interview

What are your thoughts on it?

Edgar is one of them

Hopefully Basham. I would like to replace Edgar with Basham now, giving us a back 3 which is able to push up from the back. Always been disappointed with Edgar and that he is never able to get infront of his man for a header or tackle.

I got bored with it and stopped listening. I then reflected that this is truly indicative of how apathetic I am at the moment with regards to the blades. After 57 years of supporting, this lot has finally done it, I think I genuinely couldn't give a toss what he thinks or the rest of the bull merchants at the club.

I have stopped listening to Mr Adkins - Same old bullshit week in week out !
Really not looking forward to the future with this man in charge !

Walked straight past all the players going to get the train to London on Sheaf Street. Felt no different to walking past anyone else in the street, they're a bunch of no-bodies.

Glad to see that the sop of possibly bringing someone in on loan after our non activity in the JTW has been shown to be exactly what it was, BS. Ryan Kent

The people who moan about his interviews the most don't half enjoy opening up threads called "Adkins pre match interviews".
